So works on 2.7 F355s and 456 GTs and 5.2 456 GTAs?

 

As far as actually working/compatibility - it works on lots of F's, anything with that blade profile.
But it was originally delivered with those models*. F switched to the "guitar body" key after this.

* 2.7 F355s I'm sure of. The 5.2 uses the guitar body key.
456's early models. Not sure when the switch occurred to the guitar body key but Eurospares and Marannelo CP lists it as correct for 456 GT/GTA.
MCP also lists PN 64059600.

 

5.2 456 GTs and GTAs use the three fob system and a different key. There are no 2.7 GTAs.

 

The 2.7 refers to the 355.
Both ES and MCP list it for the 456 GT/GTA but I don't know the exact cutoff for the 456.

 

2.7 was also used in early 456 GTs, but not in the 456 GTA.

 

Maybe 2.7 should be the cutoff for the 456 also, I'm not sure.
The part suppliers are not always correct.

 

Affirmative, they got it wrong. Your keys are good for 2.7 F355s (some of them are 5.2 also) and 2.7 456 GTs. All US MY 95 456GTs are 2.7.
