Well, it was a couple weeks ago when my SA told me 3. Maybe one sold or was pulled by the owner ‍♂️

I inquired when I purchased the black Ford GT they had in inventory. The TdF is THE pinnacle of modern Ferrari, IMO.

I contemplate just abandoning financial reason and cutting my 812GTS loose for one, but I am clearly not in the right income bracket as I...at present...cannot get past the mental dilemma that a TdF is essentially the same price as my GTS + just purchased Ford GT + 992 GT3 Touring...combined!

My initial comment regarding available...but unlisted...inventory creates hesitation for a buyer such as myself. The lack of clarity of available inventory prohibits true price discovery, IMO, of course.

I remember having similar thoughts when I traded my GT3, plus '59 356A 1600 GS Coupe, PLUS pile of cash toward purchasing F12tdf. Any residual concern evaporated immediately after 1st drive. It was/is that good.

Yeah US economy a house of cards propped up by massive govt overspending. Take that away and see what's left.... (!!)

Mixed analogies aside, with Fed locking up the brakes, while Congress revs the engine, eventually the engine will blow.

    (buy gold. and a tdf)

Just as a reminder to my comment about the fact this car was a misprice / priced too cheap
Remember Tom Hartley Junior listed it at £875k at the time and it sold within the first 30mn of being advertised. A month or two ago this car reappeared for sale at a Ferrari dealer at £985k, they then reduced it to £935k and it sold within a week or two. I guess it’s fair to say to it validates my point about THJ a few months ago…

To be clear it is the person who bought it cheap from THJ who sold it via Ferrari to make a quick profit

The (modern <30 years old) Ferrari RHD market trades 20-40% below the US market depending on the model (with a few exceptions). Go have a look on Autotrader UK and compare to the prices you see in the US.

Man, I cannot believe how much they are fetching. Actually, I am not surprised. It was a matter of time before these were going to hit numbers like this and will probably go higher. Whoever has one of these iconic cars, I'm very happy for you. They are my favorite of all time. My Superfast will be on the chopping block for one of these one day.

    hmmm.

so i am starting to get the sf90xx pictures so i figure it will be here in a couple months, which leads me to the terrifying question of what to do with the fleet. help me figure it out. should i trade the tdf when the xx arrives, or hang on to it? i have been watching since i put in the xx order and the market doesn't seem to have moved much on the tdf's - they seem to actively trade in the 1.1-1.3m range - for several years actually. i see some listed higher but theyre not selling up there.

there're fewer tdfs than xx stradales (same as f80 wow), v12 na definitely seems to be on the way out, and the tdf is ... well like very un-ferrari. since taking it in 2016, i had thought it might follow an f40-esque path with it's snappy driving and constant feeling of near-certain-death while driving in the rain around here. most people i talk to seem more enamored with the 812c, which ... well it's not for me.

so group, tell me on a percentage basis, your pro-guess-jections for the change in value for both the f12tdf and the sf90xx? which do you feel will be more collectible?

I think the Sf90 XX will directionally go the same way as the SF90 which is down. It will undoubtedly be the top of the pile for the SF90s but I don’t think it will turn out to be a great investment in the long run. It’s also not a real XX let’s be honest, it’s not a track car and doesn’t give access the the XX program. The F12 is beloved and I expect it to hold its value and keep pace with inflation over the long term.
