Popularity is not synonymous with quality! There are plenty of "popular" people on you tube and in 95% of cases it's terribly regressive for a developed human brain...
So, I guess that you preferred the quality of 1988, or 1993. Where those years more interesting (unless of course you were a McLaren or a Williams fan respectively)?
been following F1 for almost 40 years now. Truth is it is growing in popularity again. The truth is also it suffers from the same problems like many cars this days beign too big, too heavy and to complex.
I suppose that largely depends on how strict the design brief is for form to follow function. At the extreme, the multitude of hard points defined by the engineering team in order to achieve downforce, drag, power (cooling), weight and other targets means that designers have much less creative freedom on such a project. I’m excited to see how Ferrari executes the F250 design, assuming track performance is the #1 priority for this model.
If you are a prospective customer for this car, your opinion certainly trumps most of ours. I think at the end of the day many Ferrari owners share many different visions of what a Ferrari supercar should be. In the end, there can only be one per decade. More like: Image Unavailable, Please Login Only, because it's Ferrari, executed as a car one would actually drive on the road, not something which requires noise-cancelling headphones just to pilot...
This car would've been incredibly hard to market if the 499p didn't win lemans should f250 have a v6, but luckily for ferrari, It did, twice. Also seeing some 330p4/499p snorkels in the front end Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
My first memory of F1 is Mansell vs Senna in the Spanish GP at Jerez 1986. Epic race which turned me a into a follower. But there were super boring races later in the 80s, 90s, 00s, 10s, every year. As well as domination periods from several teams. Cycles. F1 is not karting, nor bike racing. Just let it be what it is. But FFS let them race!
I don't mind dominance or cycles, especially is Schumacher era . I just don't want car to be 5.5 m long 2+m wide, and I wish with bio fuel they can go back to NA engines again, I do miss the sound.
These dimensions provide certain aero and mechanical grip advantages and the only problem is in Monaco really. That said, if smaller cars prove better to race, it wouldn 't be a bad to follow that route. The 2026 engine regulations have already been confirmed. Simplified and lower powered TT V6s.
yes I am aware of that, and you're right. it does have those benefits. You can add also safety. Still they are way to big, and it is not just Monaco, it is very difficult also in Hungaroring and in Montreal. Imagine if they made them 20cm narrower in each corner you would get 2 cars with 40cm more space to race. True 2026 engines are simplified, my thoughts were for next gen 2030+
100%! A Ferrari winning back to back is a significant accomplishment. Nobility over winning, “no”. If we asked the marketing genius, we’d get a 30 minute speech! Bravo Ferrari for taking the risk and offering a different generation a challenge and a rare glimpse of a forgotten past! Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Consider yourself way lucky compared to the diatribe your going to get from Manzoni trying to explain that the design is awkward and incoherent only because you are too pedestrian to understand it!
speaking of nuts hyper cars https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=2083693 20 seconds faster around the track than the sf90xx for example and only set to 75% downforce and 75% power!
Not buying the 75% claim, but at any rate this is not a real car. It 's a single seater, technology demonstrator.
