Isn't it a magnesium block?

"alloy" means aluminum when referring to engines.

Magnesium is light and strong but too soft - studs eventually start moving.

A genuine car must be north of $1M now. I nearly bought a decent replica a few weeks ago which would have been <$140K landed. Lots of fun and no cardiac arrest if you scratch it.
