It sounds like you’re a bit of a collector Rob, do you have a favourite piece? Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Nice [emoji106] The antiques roadshow is one of my favourite television shows, the history and manufacturing techniques involved in producing these pieces is fascinating, good stuff [emoji108] Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
I'm sick of all the woke crap percolating through society. Here's the screen saver that pops up on a Qld Government work computer. WTF is going on? Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my SM-F711B using FerrariChat.com mobile app
So my son fell over and cut his hand. He was meant to be at a mate's place, watching the footy. And then come straight home. He decided to ride, in the dark, on an ebike, through the streets of the Gold Coast, to another mate's place, to get a cheaper uber. Somewhere along the line, he falls onto broken glass and cuts his hand. I get the phone call at 11pm. Go get him, swearing the whole way, open up the surgery at midnight, and start to sort it out. One small nerve severed, which he can bloody-well live with, but all tendons intact. All sewn up by 1am. Due for stitches out last Friday, but on Thursday night, he informs me that he can't wiggle the end of his ring finger. Bugger. I've either missed it when I examined him (likely), or it was partially cut and he finished the job by not taking care (more likely). So, a mad rush organising an ultrasound and putting a hand surgeon on standby, and yep, cut tendon. For Greg's benefit: FOOSH, severed R 4th FDP at PIP. Anyway, up at 5 this morning, and now in theatre waiting room. The surgeon thinks he can reattach the nerve, too, which is a bonus. How's your day? More importantly, how's your boy feeling ? He's just being a teenager and you're doing what any good father should do to protect him
He's not feeling anything right now. It's generally a 45 minute procedure and he's been in there for over 2 hours now. My mind is racing with bad thoughts... Sent from my SM-F711B using FerrariChat.com mobile app
2 hours 20 minutes. It turns out another tendon was partially cut and some damage to the bone. Got the nerve repaired, too. I can breathe again. I think I'll retire and take up car broking. What could possibly go wrong... Sent from my SM-F711B using FerrariChat.com mobile app
