    My new to me black 458 spider is arriving tomorrow. I'm thinking about getting the entire car covered with PPF and I'm considering applying a matte material. I did this with my Ice Grey Metallic Boxster and really like the way it turned out.

    Anyone here applied matte PPF on their black car? Can you share some photos please?

    I’ve done it to a few customers cars with my business… but I’m not the one to ask because I HATE matte finishes and the matte look. The customers were very happy though.

    I believe the topic and question is specific to matte on black cars only. And I think gloss black is beautiful and nothing is sexier when corrected and coated so ‘flattening’ it out is just weird to me. But like I said, the ones I did, the customers loved it when I was done

    There is a translucent matte, I forget who makes it, I think Excel, that I've seen in person. It looked really nice and I'm not someone whom would typically like those things.
