I have been asking my dealer in The Netherlands whether there was an update for the navigation map on a 2020 Porto for years. The guy at customer service always said "nope, no update". Today he announced there IS an update and it was released in June 2022. Two years ago .
I have ordered the update and (in theory) it should be updated in a week. Hope that does not screw up all the electronics.
    Abominable service.

It's a little mind blowing that people pay Ferrari for these pointless 2-year old "updates".
Just another example how much Ferrari hates its customers...

I do have an iphone but no carplay. I find the screen on the phone too small for relaxed navigation which is why I use the navigation system in the car on the big screen.
I do admit, Dera is right about two year old "updates".

I found someone recommending aftermarket carplay system which should be a good option. I did some research online and checked *********** Ferrari carplay kit I haven't pulled the trigger yet. A little hesitant but if anyone has used this kit and gives good feedback, I would be happy to buy it. Here is the link to share with others who need it.

Andy, if you do install this, let us know how well it works.
I looked at the site and am a bit hesitant. From the language used, it seems to be a site that is using a translation programme. My big worry is whether installing something like this will gum up the rest of the electronics. In my experience "uninstalling" is a lot more difficult than installing and the damage could be substantial, all the way upto a car that will not even start.
I would wait for a review from someone who has actually installed it.

Mel, dit was mijn post op de Portofino Carplay forum.

Had my annual service last week. The dealer had ordered the SD card with the updated map but the car would not read the SC card. So......no update installed. He will order a new card and try and get it to read.
Not sure whether i should laugh or cry

Ok, I ordered *********** unit and received the installation video they sent. And the seller was very responsive and answered all my questions. The installation process was simple, basically plug and play, and it was non-destructive installation and 100% reversible. I haven't received it yet, it should be arriving soon. Looking to probably install this weekend. I'll keep you posted.

Installed in my stock Portofino unit, works well. The installation took less than 3hours. No lag, no crash, easy to install, retain steering wheel controls, easy to switch between original system and carplay, factory unit look. Which is exactly what I wanted most. The seamless actions that this device brings to my car is amazing. It brings the car back to a young car again. This is my post:
