Trunk seals 2018 488

I recently purchased a 488 and with the humidity in Chicago, I have noticed when I open the trunk the black rubber seals that run up both sides seems to lift with the trunk. I can't figure out how they fit in the grove to keep them from lifting up. Anyone have or know how to fix this issue? only about 8 inches on each side comes out but I see if becoming a bigger problem in the future as I daily drive my 488 and open the trunk 2-3x a day.

 

I can't help with how the seals locate, but a smear of Gummi Pflede will stop them sticking.

I need to fix mine as well. I don't think there really is a groove. It's just held down in place with weather stripping adhesive.

My 2019 488 did the same. I took some Gorilla Glue Silicone adhesive I had in my garage and glued them back down. Never had a problem for thousands of miles after.

3m auto seal adhesive mentioned above. No Gorilla anything unless one day you need to replace the rubber seals and the paint comes off with it.
