To the Victors are the spoils lol :)

Until then personal conflict between P1 and P2, this was not the most exciting race. Too bad it will be remembered for sloppy driving by quite a few and contact up front. Pinnacle LOL! :)

As always - GO Carlos! :)

Interesting podium. 3 different teams. Charles who?? :)

No, but anything can happen in racing right? Had Max had to slow for some reason in the closing laps, the penalty would be negated. Why would a competitive driver not take a place when he could? You never know…

The last 20 laps were pure dynamite.

And thanks to "Mad Max" from his early days coming back, we had some great fun and Sainz inherited a podium.

I love Max, but his driving today was beyond stupid. Lando was fantastic and got totally robbed.

    Glad to see McLaren back.

They didnt need LH but some grand strategic picture they have in mind at the Executive Level. As I always say - Ferrari do not need F1 to sell anything, its a luxury to enhance the 'brand'. At this point Im just laughing at the 'brand'. Le Mans was a better event overall etc. F1 does not really compare any longer.

I mean let's be real here, Lando was driving and lunging like max used to in a lesser car. But to the point everyones been saying, Lando has the faster car

Did you see he still ran Lando off the road with a damaged car?

A safety car would have been awesome at the end there with 7 laps to go. But I’ll take chaos. I love seeing aggressive driving

I missed that. Sad for a multiple champion to behave like that. He should have simply settled for 2nd and call it a day. But no.

    Max still not fully mature.

I also blame the race stewards for not intervening when Max did not give back the position. That just let the situation escalate. They have carbon fibre shreds on their hands as well.

For me both drove a bit like 10yr old Kart weekend warriors lol. I dont think we would have seen FA in such a situation if Mclando was aiming to pass for the lead in a touch faster car. Defense yes but not over the limit as we saw earlier. This will be a fun news filled, accusation laden week in the F1 press before Brit GP.

Hoping for good weather for the fast Brit circuit.

    Yep…
    He only won 103…

PS. A bit of a stretch to call the M-B a “race winning car”, without some stupid driving going on in FRONT of it.

    He better.

He drove like an idiot against Lando. The stewards gave him a slap on the wrist. He deserved much more like a grid penalty.

They both drove like idiots. Max misjudged how little space he (didn't) give Lando and it was the smallest of touches with a huge consequence. IMO this wasn't anywhere near the 2016 Spa antics.

Max did drift left there, no real reason for him to do that. Meh but again he shouldn't have been in that position given RB jacked up that pit stop

Stewards should have forced him to give the place back when Lando passed him and he went off track and gained an advantage.

Expecting the team to disagree with him publicly is unrealistic.
