If Max raced Max, the only thing for certain is there would be a crash. Early in his career, Max was voted most likely to kill someone by fellow F1 drivers. Adding insight for those Max fans without long-term memories. Image Unavailable, Please Login
i think i'm the only ****** that enjoy these dramas, just like back in 2021 so many incidents people arguing to no end while to me thats what a fight is, some tyres rub some carbon fiber flies some cars on top of each other but at least its not boring
Yes, I agree that Perez has a massive drop of form these last few GPs. I can't explain it, but it starts in practice, and carries on in qualifs. I think his team is not managing properly his laps, and often releases him in traffic. I also wonder if they set up his car to his liking; it seems not. Is that a calculated message ? Of course he ends up midfield on the grid, and struggles from there. It's alright to say, Checo drives "a winning car" like Max. Anyone who follows racing knows that the settings can be different. A few changes on the keyboard can make a lot of difference. I think there is more than meet the eyes. That reminds me the situation between Ayrton Senna and Johnny Dumfries at Lotus. Senna was brilliant and Dumfries looked like totally lost. Years later, former Lotus mechanics admitted the cars were never tuned the same.
Reading lots of comments on stewards giving places back… just do it on the damn track! We have way too much input on penalties and position swaps. It’s made this sport boring AF
Not impressive race craft from Max - at all. He tried to just own the whole race track, and was frankly just blocking Norris all the way around the track. Good for Russel. He's been consistent and has shown leadership skills at Mercedes. To win, you have to put yourself in a position to pick off the spoils of others occasionally, and that's what he did. He's like Sainz in that regard. Sainz had a good race. Did the best he could considering the circumstances. Is Leclerc driving the same car as him? One wouldn't know it from the way he's driving these past few races.
Giving places back is not done in a vacuum. It's within the context of the current rules. Can't cherry pick some rules.
Max being a petulant child again! When do they start to actually hold Max accountable for dangerous deliberate maneuvers? 10 second penalty is BS for crashing out your competitors. Max will get worse until they really penalize him significantly.....
I loved it. Edge of seat watching for first time since what, beginning 2022? +1 All the complaining, "the return of Mad Max!" Race him hard, he races you hard. FWIW I do agree that Max was driving on his mirrors too much today. Blame the stewards just as much for not warning/dishing out penalties MUCH sooner, for both that and the off track bs. Look back a few years when Vettel was still driving for ferrari...he forced Lewis off track much further (same corner) and both survived. Not blaming Norris for that at all mind you, but had he gone an inch further both would've lived. They raced each other hard and both paid the price. Made for great viewing finally. But it's Max so lets complain! lol
So much this and that on the track, hard to assess the right/wrong for me. Powered by Honda goes P5,7,9 (credit where credit is due) and 14. Podium for Ferrari, never discount that. Alpeen with their wonderful Moser watches P10 and 12. Haas with a good day at work, not often said.
As I thought, not the same - Lando did not lose control. Next time tell me the lap so I don't have to listen to that schmee sounding guy - geez.
Max is an *******. Holding a line is far different than moving a car width right heading into a right hander then darting into a passing car to the left. But this is what happens when he doesn’t have a car that dominates the pack. No different than 2018…
I'm no fan of Max but didn't see anything super blatently wrong with his defense - just hard elbows-out driving. Likewise Lando's "dive bombs" weren't too crazy, especially the second one where he kept all 4 wheels on the track. Too much whining from both of them. And it seems Lando has no-one to blame but himself for pushing too hard on his punctured tire, shredding it and his rear wing&diffuser in his rush to get back to the pits. If he'd have eased off and kept the tire on the rim like Max it looks like he could have done the same and pitted for a new rear tire, coming out either just in front or at least battling Max for 5th over the final laps which would have been awesome.
Perhaps but that doesn’t mean it’s not 100% accurate After 30 years of marriage and 17 years raising a daughter I can say unequivocally that I’m right on this one
Wrong result today. Stewards got that one wrong. And as has happened many times before, Max lucked out. Yes, he didn’t win, but he put more points between himself and his closest rival (Lando). Russel won. And no one cares. He didn’t earn that, he just plodded round. Overall, as a fan, I’m disappointed with today’s result as it makes the WDC a foregone Max parade. At least the WCC is still very much in play as RB only have 1 decent driver, but McLaren have the better car/driver team package.
