Something more HAD to be wrong with his car. It was a dog all weekend, but WAY worse after the incident.

 

I dont remember these problems when Charles was racing Max...

Punching someone is drifting your fist into the preferred trajectory while his chin refuses to yield.

If I'm Zak Brown, I'm pissed at Lando. I don't care whose "fault" it was -- it shouldn't have happened. Max is going to be Max. Unless Lando had a clear shot there was no reason to take the risk at that time. It wasn't like it was the last lap of the race.

McLaren lost a ton of $$$ today for no good reason. Lando cannot keep his cool.

Its his corner. He was in front. Lando tried to pass on the outside. Did Max defend it? Sure. But what's he supposed to do? Just pull over and park the car until Lando goes by?

If everyone did what maxi pad does there'd be no passing, just accidents.

 

So he gets out his measuring tape? Lando was the aggressor. Lando didn't have to put both of themselves in that no win position.

I'm no Max fan but its Lando who caused this to happen. Dumb place to try to pass.

I can tell you one thing for sure. If Alonso tried this and it ended up the same way, Alonso wouldn't be WHINING about Max. He'd say that's the risks you take in racing and move on.

That's the difference between a racer and a kid (or should I say the darling of the British Press).

 

Max was aggressive breakdancing in the braking zone. Lando had to be aggressive once he found out they were not gonna call out Max on his maneuvers. If it was Magnussen doing those maneuvers he would have got penalized.

 

Yeah- just settle for 2nd. Why even ever bother to pass anyone right. 2nd place is awesome.

 

I think Lando wanted to get by as quickly as possible just in case he got a 5 sec penalty, he could build a gap. He surely had the pace. Lando did nothing wrong imo.

 

You can still pass a guy defending very hard. Not so much a guy who keeps moving in the breaking zones.

 

None of this happens if Max is instructed to give back the position when Lando passes him to take 1st. Max goes way off track to hold position. I don't belive Max catches Lando.

 

No one knows, you don't coach a driver to not try.
