I finally recd my Larini order after waiting almost 7 months from order / payment - I was told 1 month but it took forever!

I’ve ordered a complete 5.2 exhaust - headers, cats, secondary Y cats, and muffler box/tips… I will hopefully install it by summer end (engine currently out for a major) and let yall know how it looks / sounds when done …

I’ve got th following coming off if anyone is interested :
OEM headers installed at 25k miles (car now at 35k)
    OEM Y Pipe
Tubi style exhaust installed about 2000 miles ago

    thanks!!

I’m curious as to what makes one aftermarket Y pipe better than another. I put a fabspeed one on my car because it was a simple design.

I’d say how smooth the inside was done, which is the reason I posted the inside of the Kreissieg Y-pipe.

Outer design wise, the Larinis are pretty close to Fabspeed, which is the most straight forward generic look for a 2.7 Y-pipe. Only benefit of the Larinis is the inconel shielding.

@INTMD8 makes a pretty slick Y-pipe, which looks different from the others one market. His probably flows a bit better than the Fabspeeds. He also makes them out of 321 SS and Titanium for lighter weight.

MS racing offers one designed with smaller diameter piping than usual, which is believed to enhance F1 sound.

Looks-wise, my favorite is Kreissieg. If I had to do it all over, I would order a titanium version and send it off to thermo-met for Inconel shielding.

I believe Tubi was working on one (with shielding) and perhaps even Kline for the 2.7.

It’s the only pic I took when the parts came in … they are all in a box again while I get the engine done (and a whole bunch of other stuff… this is such a rabbit hole to be going down !!)

Will post installed pics once ready!

The shielded 5.2 Y-pipe looks pretty damn good!

I see they simplified the shielding for the manifolds. The way they shielded mine was probably too costly and time consuming.

I thought so to. Could they be buying Nouvalari cats and simply shielding them? They’re both in the UK.

Per your picture, they look a little different than my Nouvalari cats in the area circled, but mine are 2013 vintage.

As of recent, they look closer to Nouvalaris. The one I posted was acquired late last year.
