Certainly yes. I also think that solid colors go better with black pieces.

Another very interesting flat red option is Rosso Chiaro. Slightly lighter and deeper than the Rosso Corsa.

I want to see in the samples what the R Chiaro will be like compared to the Rosso Le Mans, as both are a little lighter than the R Corsa, and with blue in the composition.

Coupe Giallo Montecarlo and Spider Rosso Corsa in the photo (not the same Spider as in the previous photos, as this one has test wheels):

It is interesting that the new 8-speed gearbox in 12 Cilindri is not more closely geared than the old 7-speed unit in 812. It is actually the opposite for the first 6 gears. 6th and 7th are much closer though, helping top speed runs. The higher revving engine has allowed wider ratios to be used, since the engine speeds after the gear changes up to 5th still remain around the same level as in 812. Regardless of the wider gear ratios, engine speeds stay higher than in 812 when changing to 6th and 7th. The new 8th gear is just for economy cruising.

I wouldn't go that far, but certainly the active flaps have received more critic than they deserve. They look more convincing than Roma's rear spoiler.

What differentiates the F12 B, the 812 SF and the 12 Cilindri coupé?

The first big difference is undoubtedly the price. The 12 Cilindri can only be purchased new and both the 812 SF and the F12B available are second-hand.

The second big difference is the designs. The F12 B design is definitely cleaner compared to 812 SF, but the differences between the two are not very pronounced. The fact that we like one more than the other has a lot to do with personal taste. However, when we compare the designs of the F12 B and 812 SF with that of the 12 Cilindri, we are comparing very different things and, as I guess Flavio Manzoni probably says, something fashionable versus the latest “fashion” trend. In terms of design, the 812 SF was a progression of the F12B grand tourer, but the same did not happen with the 12 C coupé, which seems to have nothing in common with the 812 SF. The 12 C coupé design seems to me an amalgam that combines the reinterpretation of the past with the futuristic world of aeronautics and science fiction.

The third big difference is undoubtedly the driving experience. When it was introduced the F12 Berlinetta set a new standard for front-engine, rear-wheel-drive grand tourers. The F12 was not just about raw power, it was a masterclass in balance and handling and delivered a driving experience that was both thrilling and precise.
When Ferrari unveiled the 812 Superfast, the car took the V12 formula to even greater heights. Ferrari incorporated several cutting-edge technologies to enhance its handling and drivability. According to testimonies from many of those who have owned both models or who still do, the main difference between the F12 B and the 812 SF is that the former offers a purer, more visceral and less refined driving experience. It's a car that connects the driver to the road with unfiltered feedback. On the other hand the 812 Superfast’s new technology pushed the limits and made it a better car, easier to handle than the F12 B and more accessible to less-experienced drivers.

Presently the overwhelming majority of us are still unaware of what the 12 Cilindri driving experience is like. The figures known and many of the technologies used are apparently similar from the ones of the 812 Superfast but will the driving experience be the same or will it be better? We will know this soon but my guess is that there will not be a significant difference.

If that will be the case and trying to put myself in the position of an owner of a 812 SF, the question I ask is the following; What is the incentive to go from the 812 SF to the 12 Cilindri coupé ? May be the fact that the 12 C is the latest fashion or its design is thought to be more appealing and modern than that of the 812 SF? Sincerely, at the moment these are the only reasons I can find why someone would pay for a 12 C, probably more than double what a super-equipped 812 SF with low millage costs.

They look like raised eyebrows to me- I think Manzoni used too much Botox on the rear’s design [emoji15]

One reason could be the engine.

    F12 740 PS @ 8250 rpm (6262 cc) +0 rpm
    812 800 PS @ 8500 rpm (6496 cc) +250 rpm
    12C 830 PS @ 9250 rpm (6496 cc) +1000 rpm

Sound level wise it is a downgrade. But technologically it is a much bigger improvement than from F12 to 812. Unfortunately emission directives are hiding the true picture. Without restrictions it was on course to produce 870 PS.

Ha. I was already offered the coupe and passed. I’m still open to the spider depending on how it moves me when I see it and hear it and we find out how intrusive and unturnoffable the nannies are.

Very good analysis. However, the F12B was an advancement of the 599GTO and was released as their ultra high performance sports car and not a GT. The 812 was then marketed as a GT.

Don’t think that’s correct. From the marketing….”builds on the invaluable legacies of the F12 Berlinetta and F12 TDF. To make full use of that huge power and to guarantee perfect weight distribution, ..” and also “exploiting Ferrari’s wealth of track-derived engineering and know-how”

Read the marketing. They did not intend the F12 to be a sports car and the 812 a GT. They intended the 812 to be in the same vein as the F12 but improved.

Now they have a mid engine 1,000 HP car: they have to sell the old front engine V12 in another way, even if the car is the same.

I don't think they need to try too hard to generate excitement for an 800+ bhp, 9500 RPM NA Ferrari V12, even if it isn't the fastest in the range anymore. Frankly I wonder if they tried too hard with this one, at least design-wise.

BHP and performance might be top priority for some of us, but it's certainly not the only priority for all of us.
