Son has a F8 and is getting new wheels. I love the wheels he has and am wondering if his current factory wheels can be put on my Portofino? Fronts have the same specs but his backs are 305/30 20 and my backs are 285/35 20

    any insight is appreciated

I would start by bolting them on to see if there are any interference problems. Spacers may help if the wheels touch the brakes or if the wheels need to be moved outboard for looks.

You will find that the 305 tires are lower and faster rotating than the stock tires. This may look awkward, and it confuse the car's electronics because the rear wheels are now always rotating more quickly in relation to the fronts.

The ideal rear tires would be 335/30-20, but these can't be correctly installed on 11" rims. But 325/30-20 and 315/30-20 can go on 11" rims, so that may be your answer.

I agree with Redneck and would run fast and far from a situation in which the traction and stability controls are constantly attempting to correct a perceived over-rotation of the rears. That would be Bad. I can smell your brakes and hear your throttle cuts from here.

My Portofino has 335/30-20 on 20x12 wheels. The offset is +44. If the offset on the F8 wheels is near that, they should fit and so should 325/30 and 315/30 tires. What is the offset- it should be cast on the back?

Get the offset for the F8 fronts also. If getting under the car is not convenient now, post the question in the F8 section and someone will have the answer for you.

On your Portofino, the front offset is about +46 (may vary by wheel style). This can be compared to the F8's offset.

Just picked up the car today. I had some traffic on the way home, so there was a lot of stop-and-go, a lot of 45mph. I was able to get it up to 85mph for about 3 minutes before traffic again. Happy to report no error lights or code, no computer overrides, no abnormal braking. Here's the before and afters. Now just need to get it lowered a bit. Image Unavailable, Please Login

Thanks for the post and the replies, I don't like the stock wheels on my Porto either. I was considering going with the Cali T diamond pattern wheels but been there, done that. I'm now looking for F8 wheels....

Update... the F8 wheels on my Portofino are working great. I was on a rally a month ago with a lot of driving in the 100-120 mph range and there were no issues with the traction or stability control systems. I have just received Novitec lowering springs and will have them installed in the next several weeks. More pics will follow.
