    Mark A. Tippetts was working in the oil and finance industry, in Arab countries and then later in Asia.
    He owned a large number of very special Ferraris, including 250 LM #5995 (green with yellow stripes and Dubai plates at the time), a Dino 206 S #030 which he drove with blue California plates on the road in the UK, a rare 365 California #09985, genuine Comp Daytona #14429, 500 Superfast, etc.
    I first met him in 1977 at the house of Dudley and Sally Mason-Styrron near Farnham/UK, he was good friends with Dudley and Sally. And Tippetts kept some of his cars at their house.

    I got the chance to drive in this LM at the Nürburgring 1979.
    It was one of my inspirations to write a book about 250 LM's.
