Unfortunately the last sale fell because some of my misunderstanding about the taxes in our country.

See my old for sale post for details. I also now have more pics.

Selling price is now $89000. Firm.

    Chiaro blue on crema interior.

Is this a private sale or dealer sale? Any other fees if being brokered?

Bj, this is just to clarify. Andy is still first if I can fix the tax problem.

This would be total US to pay. I take care of dealer.
But I'm presently trying to solve the problem we are encountering for the taxes. If it's like I think and prove them wrong then there is a buyer in line that has first oportunity because we had an agreed price before the tax thing.
If the problem is NOT solved and still as now then the price is the advertised price above.

    Here I explain the problem.

Since I ordered the new car we knew the dealer and I that I traded in my 328 and save the taxes on the trade in value. It has always been like this.
When I advertised the car I knew it would be sold legally by the dealer because now in his possesion on paper.
I knew from previous experience that no taxes are charged to out of country sales, but they are telling me I'm wrong and they should charge the taxes.
That makes it a bit over $15k cdn taxes to pay for the buyer. Which is I understand it is a NONSENSE.
If I sell private to private there is NO TAXES but I LOOSE the 15k in trade.
An out of country buyer should NOT be charged canadian taxes if sold to his actual address and plates in HIS country within a reasonable time.

Also keep in mind I said the car was going with a broker in the other ad and offered the car if someone acted fast.
By the time I left for vacation then the broker was involved and already had cleaned and photogtaphed the car and was ready to sell.
So I told him to take care of that buyer and try to be easy on his fee.
He responded to all buyers requests with pictures and videos.

I'm selling this car to my actual COST.

I already lost quite a good chunk of money on the Gallardo I had for about a month and a half that I gave in trade on this 328 I'm not going to loose more. I will just keep the car.

I've always believed in destiny and the best will happen as it should. For me and the possible buyer.

Im a little confused. So is it $89k and then the buyer needs to pay Canadien taxes on that plus the fees to bring into the US?

Wow. So sorry to hear this. Such a nice car, I hope someone works a deal. But in the end, maybe she doesn’t want to leave.

Read my answer. 89K US and I take care of the dealer fee. So no canadian taxes at this price. You pay your fee at the border that your government is charging you.

But from my last info it look like I was right and it should work with the original buyer. I will confirm as soon as I know for SURE.

Everything fixed and car goes to the original purchaser for the original agreed price.
To be shipped directly to his door with NO canadian taxes.
We got the best shipping quote and broker fee from TFX.

It will still take a bit of time before it's there. I still have to service the car before shipping it.
New timings belts and tensionner bearings, oil and filter and I also told the buyer I was going to change the transmission oil to Redline 75w90NS for him. And we are still going for my tender half vacation for a few weeks. I'm retired but not her.

As an owner yes, but Fchat has been a good reading for too long to leave.

I have been in the Ferrari community for many years now and owned 4 Ferraris over the years. I loved them ALL but I'm making a move to better suit my retired living style. A lot less income and different activities makes owning a vintage Ferrari a bit of a nonsense now. I HOPE this new Corvette that I ordered exactly as I want it with my personalized plate inside it will make me keep it for a long time. If I keep it as long as my old 308GTB I will possibly not be driving anymore.
I will always enjoy the Ferraris but in someone else's garage.

My very close friend own my former 308, and a Diablo and a Pantera. ;-)

Thank you for taking good care of this 328 Claude! I'm very excited about seeing that transport truck pull up in my town! I just need to contain myself until then!

I hope you will like it as much as I do. At least Tomorrow I will have a nice 5 hours drive to Toronto to end our affair and let TFX take care of her until you get it.
