I still can’t stand him but he did what was needed and earned it even if Russell dropping out undoubtedly helped a bit.

You have to wonder though how he’s feeling about the move to Ferrari now. If they don’t completely turn things around he’s in trouble.

    Dark days for the Scuderia.

Respectable race from Sainz. It is what it is.

I have no idea why some of you guys think Leclerc is championship caliber.

He's not scored on pure pace back to back now. If you think that kid can win a title, god bless you. I wish I could be that delusional.

    Very enjoyable race though.

McLaren again not maximising the strategy; wrong tyre choices, timing of pitstops.

How long before they remove Checo. Max' drive was spectacular and they need a good #2 etc.

Even if he could Ferrari would have to give him a good and consistent car matched with excellent strategy. Not sure that’s gonna happen anytime soon at this rate.

Good drive by LH but helped out by GR retiring and McL sleeping; slow pit stop cost Lando big time. McL strategy/execution is awful.

Max in the third quickest car still pulling in major points; Perez incompetence is going to cost RB the WCC.

LH is going to have buyer’s remorse moving to Ferrari…

$100 million per year for 2 years? I'd imagine the move to the Scuderia is quite good.

Ferrari strategy has screwed Leclerc 2x in Canada and Silverstone.

Ferrari drivers? How can you judge them objectively when the design office, the pit wall geniuses and the pit crew themselves underperform? I’m not making excuses for the drivers but let’s be honest: Ferrari are lucky to be even fourth best with the bunch supporting the drivers.

If all you care about is money, yes. But one would think he already has enough cash that an 8th WDC is more important than a cash grab, no?

Then again, given the current state of F1 maybe not.

That's the only reason why he moved to Ferrari because MercedesAMGF1 would NOT meet Lewis's demands.

Hamilton has taken me out of the Nostradamus business: A couple of months ago I predicted he’d won his last race. (We regret that refund requests will be ignored;)) He drove flawlessly today and got just the right support. Mercedes and McLaren know how to improve. Ferrari do not.

Likely the best race of the season. Thrilling from beginning to finish. All F1 needs is some intermittent showers. Sprinklers anybody?

Congrats to Hamilton for being the comeback kid. 2.5 years since his last victory. He better get used to that, might be another 2.5 years to his next victory once he sits in the Ferrari...

Well driven by Max, who drove mature (unlike last race) like a champion. Sorry for Norris for getting the wrong tires, that's racing.

And glad to see that AM found some pace. Still looks like their 5th WCC place is now cemented for better or worse.

And then Ferrari: it's becoming a cliche to put the wrong tires on Chuck's car and it was proven once again, pathetic
