Where was he for the last 3-4 years?

Did he remember how to drive today?

Does he win today if no rain?

I think 'something happened' and they are/were no longer 'allowed' to use something
that gave them a competitive advantage this year, but that's just speculation.

Agreed. Job well done and congratulations to him. Hard not to feel good for the guy after him not banking a win in so long.

Their current car is a different concept than the one from the last few years. They've not figured it out properly yet. Whereas the Mclaren especially has been working the same concept for a good while already and understands it very well.

You'd think with a guy with about 20 years of racing experience (no, not all in F1)
he would be able to help figure it out better.

One guy that keeps disappointing me is Lando... he keeps being impetuous... Sure last race max was (to me at fault) but the tyre choice today was his and a bad one. Piastri is more mature... That bad tyre choice reminded me of russia few years back where he lost the race to hamilton...

Wow talk about winning in magnificent style in front of the home crowd. Lewis earned every bit of his win today and it was heartwarming to see his celebrations most notably the long embrace with his father. Haters don’t even bother trying to dilute this victory you’ll only show your lack of class in trying.

Leclerc said after the race that he simply had no pace..
Problem is that Sainz had more pace compared with him..
Is the car becoming too much oversteering for his taste ?

Another terrible day for Ferrari. Charles to Mercedes ?

Hamilton must've drunk a can of Red Bull before the race.

Another 2 laps and Max woud pass

Hammyfanboyz are hypersensitive, aren’t they? The slightest criticism or questioning elicits an attack. How can allegedly grown men be so invested in what amounts to a celebrity? I bet they love Taylor Swift too…..

I don’t deny it was a fine win, he earned it, and I’ve posted that in the race thread, but that isn’t enough. Any questioning of any aspect of it is met with ad hominem. These guys must have his picture on their nightstands.

It’s their whole identity. Really fun winding them up though :D Yesterday was earned and a loooong time coming so they deserve a little gloat. Hopefully it eases their pain as they watch the inevitable decline and fall the next few years. ;)

The whole “goat” thing gets laughable though. Anyone who’s even the least bit objective will admit there is no Goat. Perhaps there is if we break it down by decade but to try and compare Lewis with the likes of Senna, Schumacher, Villanueva, Clark, Fangio, etc. is insanity IMO

The minute someone mentions “goat” or “hater” you know they are emotional and not capable of any real logic based discussion.

I would offer that the level of “wound up” is about equal for the haters/fanbois.

What is really remarkable is that Max has wins in 9 different seasons! Not to take anything away from Lewis who absolutely earned his record. He may well add to it next year and beyond.

Given max's young age, and the trend to get youg guys earlier and earlier i believe most LH records will be beat. same as MS'

Guys get longer seasons, more races, start younger... Its hard to compare ...

Back when Senna and prost had 3 titles each that meant something... Now... a lot less in my opinion
