    I bought a neglected 550 03/1997 97000kms
Last big maintenance was done in 2008 @ 65000km (Munsterhuis NL)
Belts and oil + oil filter in 2018
Maybe this sounds not so bad:

    Work planned:
Replace all belts, liquids and filters
    Almost full repaint necessary
    Interior plastic restore
    Dash leather has cracked
Replace very loud Tubi exhaust with standard, add valve control
    Fix A/C
Replace tires (on the car 2011), maybe 19"
The engine does not seem to run 100% so I plan to clean the injectors
unless replacing the spark plugs will fix this?

I am looking for a copy of the workshop manual
I DL-ed the ones of 348 and 355 before Ferrari put an end to it
But never thought I would buy a 550...

Also consider checking tank pumps in trunk and upgrading the motor mounts to 575. You’re doing god’s work bringing her back, bravo.

Indeed! Hope it's a great project with no extra unexpected repairs...

Definately plan to overhaul the fuel pump supports in the tank

I would inspect the Fuse board, and all the plugs attached to it.

Consider adding a cooling fan harness to protect the electrical system and enhance your cooling performance.

    Well said by all.

Don't worry about the tubi for now. Keep eyes on the usual sites for a used OEM muffler vs ask Fabio for a valved aftermarket. Electricals of the 550 are better than the 456 but still benefit greatly from an updated fuse board from Guido and Nick's fan harness. Both should considered a must for any car. Most 456+550 need to have their fuel systems fully refreshed as the rubber degrades with ethanol-mixed gas. This thread as the full list for a 456M, minor adjustments in the parts needed for a 550.

I would start with a mechanical/electrical before doing cosmetic, including wheels.

    Back from holiday ;-)
Thanks a lot for all replies
Will definitely replace the fuel pump supports, already did this on the 348
Check fuseboard and upgrade the cooling fan harness
    Already bought OEM muffler
    Replaced oil and filters
