I don't see what's wrong with the car you bought. It's a great specification, you like open cars, and it didn't cost a bomb, nor costs a bomb to run. What's not to love?

 

Because I've never viewed it as long-term ownership and I like the specs of the various 992 models, the cost of running it apart from tyre and insurance will be similar and even then it's of no great concern to me..

I've always regretted selling the 993RS-NOT for its now value but its rarity and drive qualities and I like the idea of buying a modern 911 like a GT3 touring that is part of that style of Porsche evolution.

In the meantime, till prices come back to some normal prices I'll keep it and enjoy it -I've already done 10.000kms in including Tassie,GHAB,gents run and a trip to Canberra for the Grand Hyatt seafood buffet.

 

Only if he can light a fire under it.

Anywhom whom buys a whombmobile as not long term ownership will be disappointed.

As for the 993 RS, just go and buy another if you miss it so much.

It would shorten your post count too.

I like those seats.

 

The issue with them is their fixed and don't tilt forward -Making it difficult to place luggage in the rear ., I'd go for the standard seats.

 

What a shame they couldn't put the same tilt mechanism on these seats like the standard ones have.

Poor/lazy engineering from Porsche.

 

If they're homologated race seats, they have to be fixed

Drive a good model before you knock'em, the '90s 911s are light years in front of the same V8 models Ferrari built in the period...............
