A guy in the UK bought a new Porsche Taycan for about 150,000 pounds after 18 months tired of the drama of range and charging Porsche dealer, don't trade 'em back, the best price he was offered was 35,000 pounds.

The crunch , a new battery would cost 35,000 pounds plus fitting !

 

The Chinese can't build a ICE that is any good.
The established car makers need to play to this strength.
If we go all in electric, everything will be Chinese in a matter of time.

 

It's the same situation here.
I have been offered 2 or 3 year old electric Mercedes Benzes at a third of new car price.

Dealers don't want them.

I was in Mackay last week seeing the family and saw 10 or more there also I reckon.

All the same little Model 3 Teslas, mainly white in colour most of them.

Yep.

Hybrids are easier, but still people have the battery problem.

The biggest problem with hybrids as they get older is that if the battery dies, they don’t drive/move at all.

My Superintendent at work just ordered a brand-new hybrid Toyota Hilux.

Batteries are under the back seat he said.

Amanda and her family for the last 35-odd years have always bought their Mercedes Benz cars from one salesman!

About a year ago she bought a new C Class Hybrid -She is not a car person, anyway he told her "Get rid of it before the warranty runs out! "Battery "
