    Hi all

I am returning back to Oz after 25 years in the UK and will be bringing a number of my Alfa, Ferrari and Ducati with me.

I have decided to search out a 365 GT4 2+2 to share garage space with my Dino 246GT and am looking at buying one in the UK and shipping it with my other cars and household goods. But I was also wondering whether one might be for sale in Australia and ship one less vehicle.

The car needs to be either totally restored, or perfectly maintained original, and "on the button".

Anyone have one to sell and and can someone share with me have the owner's details of the green one at Classic Throttle Shop currently?

    Thanks
    Dave

Well, good luck with that. Looks like you'll be bringing one with you.

There's a couple here that may suit your needs, however I am not aware they are for sale.

You can contact me privately about the green car @ CTS. I have a bit on it. Unless you join the FCA however, you won't be able to contact the owner. I'd ask CTS, they'd be unlikely to tell you though. They would assume you want to back door them.

Looks like a nice thing - but I wouldn't deal with CTS on any day ending with a "y"

Why? I've bought 2 cars from there, no issues, easy to deal with. Some people just have unrealistic expectations buying old cars IMO

On each occasion, the price I paid was about 20% lower than the advertised price. At the end of the day, you either want a car and buy it or lowball and end up with nothing :)

20% less for that GT4 would be a good buy (if all the blurb is true)

So CTS should sell a car at under cost to Dr PhD Lowball?

If it's the model and colour you want and hang on to it long term, the price paid is irrelevant. There will be ongoing large bills with all these old Ferraris

It won't be their cost. Is there a PhD in Lowballing? Cool!

Hi all, thanks for all the replies and assistance.

I will be joining the Ferrari Club shortly as I will also be brining a few Ferraris with me.

Thanks for the views on CTS and what sorts of offers might be acceptable.

One of the reasons of wanting to contact the owner directly is to have a proper chat about the car and what has been done to her. And that sort of chat is always simpler done directly, as in my eyes any company consigning such a car never has the required in-depth knowledge of the specifics. CTS don't show the registration (so can't do a PPSR check) and they won't hand out the owner details, so the only option is if someone here is the seller, or knows the seller....

    Appreciate the help!

Wow, I'm impressed - yes it is 02114 and yes its Oro Chiaro!

I love the colour and most of all that the paint is 100% original .

The Alfa is a lightweight Giulietta needing a lot of work and will be coming, along with her Giulietta Spider Veloce friend - fortunately the Spider is in lot better shape :)
