mr J is always busy and in trouble Visit to one of their boutiques is a must..Will take average of 2 years.. Hope you get it soon.. Akrivia and FPJ, only two independent watchmakers I love...Second to none, both at their own levels (highest)...
Agreed. I will add: Roger Smith, George Daniels and Kari Voutilainen. Independent, beyond imagination I am fan/following Mr Rexhep (Akrivia), part of my generation (in 30s) and untouchable at this time...What a asset in watch industry...
Thank you for making that point. I had a most enjoyable visit at the Beverly Hill boutique in December 2023. One thing that was mentioned to me was they like folks to see them at multiple FPJ boutiques and encouraged me to visit the NYC site. Sliding the conversation as Akrivia was mentioned. I was in Monaco a week ago and by chance found a wonderful shop that covers that house. https://www.art-in-time.com/ I was with my older son (not into watches) and as we were walking past the shop he looked at one and said, why did that have a globe in it (Greubel Forsey). They also had my Moser Heritage Dual Time in the window. We went in and they could not have been nicer. My son was captivated by the tourby watches (ex. Moser Pioneer Cylindrical Tourby). I noticed that have Ballouard and had 2 upside downs to see/discuss.
Hmmm visiting multiple FPJ in states, I haven't heard that. I will visit Miami over NYC if you are in the area. If you are in Cali keep visiting the boutique and should able to land with timepiece in 2025/2026. Akrivia, cannot say much about it. I am after him for allocation for many years now He only makes 30-40 watches a year so little hard to land on one. But I won't give up. Only thing is he really really needs to know you, hang out if possible. Then if lucky enough he might sell you one. Art-in-Time , what a store. Its watch heaven on earth plus monaco, nothing else to say about it GF are good but not to my liking, owned by WatchBox/1916. Moser is nice as well, I own couple.
haha yes he does follow. Met him about 3 years ago, what a guy. He is in different level as well. Very creative guy. He took over Urban Jürgensen, looking forward to what he does with it. With Kari it takes 4-5 years for delivery. This will arrive somewhere in 2026, gmt in platinum . Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thank you again for the pointer. My wife hates Miami so that one would be an uphill climb. She is from NY so that is a more likely opportunity. I agree with your point on additional visits to Beverly Hills, plus it is an easy train ride from my work in San Diego. Best wishes toward you adding an Akrivia (top stuff, above my world).
Yes, I already told my dealer that I want the upcoming Urban Jürgensen One! I originally designed a Vingt-8 with my AD but eventually decided to not to proceed because I am not sure how it will be 5 years later and just focus on FPJ instead. To solve the itch, I went ahead got two SE x Kari instead. Lol

Wearing my Hamilton “Interstellar” today. I need to pick up the bracelet for it. I don’t think the leather strap does it justice. (Just noticed I had my date set wrong) View attachment 3711792 Image Unavailable, Please Login

Nice. Classic. Provenance. Love it. I actually recently sold my Moonwatch like this after many years of service. No Apollo missions however...
