    Ocon to mentor Bearman? OMG.

Bad news, as far as I am concerned: Ocon is toxic.

Could you imagine Steiner and Ocon on the same team? BOOM!

I am surprised Mercedes is still interested in 'managing" him. He is certainly not an asset in their portfolio.

He is employed and being paid so free money for Mercedes. What is not to like about that lol.

I dont think Ocon will do that much to help. Not really his nature. He might if he is easily beating Bearman, if not it will be fun to watch the carbon flying about if they hit each other. Gene is cheap so its Ocon probably taking a bit of a salary cut. Not like he needs to pay Bearman much. He is just happy to be in F1 at all / early.

The tandem Ocon-Bearman, is a step down for Haas, compared to the duo Hulkenberg-Magnussen, IMO.
Time will tell if I am wrong.
Maybe the link with Toyota (if confirmed) will revigorate Haas, who knows ?

HAAS and Scuderia Ferrari renew their contract. Ferrari will supply HAAS with Ferrari PU's thru the end of 2028.

But that can't stop Haas receiving Toyota sponsorhip the same way Sauber received it from Alfa Romeo.
Also, with a better budget, Haas may decide to buy its chassis from different source.
I think the partnership with Ferrari has shown its limitation for Haas.

The Toyota rumours were about subcontracting their wind tunnel and design work, but a Toyota return to F1 was a long stretch. The renewal with Ferrari includes not only the engine but the chassis design.

Surprisingly Haas is having their best season in years, so there was not a big motivation for change.

Don't forget Ferrari used the Toyota tunnel when their own was shut down while being improved some years ago....

If Toyota is interested in cooperating with Haas, it doesn't mean a full take-over, and doesn't preclude still working with Ferrari.
Haas is supposed to own the intellectual properties of its chassis design, so there shouldn't be any Ferrari DNA in it.
Instead of using Dalarra, Haas may be tempted of subcontracting to Toyota?
It's all speculation at this point.

The Toyota link is for the wind tunnel in Cologne. Its a major asset and revenue producer for Toyota. Toyota in F1 has been misunderstood for now. They are quite happy with the WEC work and team they run. Its a better test bed and development model for real world public hybrid PU's vs F1 and its annoying narrow sprint model. Durability is the hall-mark of Toyota. Thats not F1 at all. Road relevance is found more in WEC application and racing.

    Another non secret exposed lol!!

Magnussen to depart Haas after 2024 F1 season, Ocon closes on 2025 deal
Danish veteran to leave Haas at the end of F1 2024, with Ocon close to a deal to replace him and race alongside rookie Bearman for next year

Personally I would take Mags over Ocon. Better team player and not that much difference in skill level. Probably both should not be in F1.

There is never a dull moment at HAAS it seems.

I am surprised that with all the sanctions in place, a Russian company is still allowed litigation in the West.

Maybe we are not told the truth ...

Uralkali is a fertiliser supplier, I believe, with nothing to do with oil..
Aren't we supposed to have seized ALL Russian assets in the West, and frozen their bank accounts ?
