Very weird move by Ferrari to have a mule running around with exposed body panels like this. That looks like 99% of the final car. Other than leaks, I can’t remember a previous Ferrari that was revealed like this prior to the official unveiling. Kind of disappointing.

Now that we know what it will look like, can someone photoshop one without camo?

Laughable perspective that is clearly not shared by those actually in the market. Why do you think Bugatti exists? Usability is why Valkyries dropping are price and can be bought under MSRP.

If that was the case they would all be zero compromise, but all have compromises because usability is important. Beyond that, for those that truly care about lap times, race cars are significantly better and faster on track.

I agree, this is not Photoshop, and I am confused.

Ferrari keeps their cars secreativite more than any other company. They have never driven a car with just a wrap on it prior to launch. therefore one needs to assume that there is more to the design/shape than we are seeing here, if history is truly dictating the present.

This will be the biggest car launch for Ferrari for the next 10-11 years, NO WAY they show the design prior to launch, just not thinkable?

No, it 's not. Unless one drives the car only on race tracks, in which case it doesn't have to be road legal. Usability is the ability of a car to tackle normal roads. A dedicated track car is terrible on normal roads. Even on some tracks, it needs to be less stiff than on other tracks.

It’s the real thing, just wrapped.

Some of the wrap looks to be stretched across openings (front upward facing radiator exits, for example) and spans the front lower fascia to the front splitter, the splitter evident on other pics.

Very much SP3 Daytona inspired, with the “rounded-boxy” look, the vertical front fender “knife-edge”leading edge, and the door top openings—except here they are inlets vs. outlets on the SP3.

Very interesting detail is the black inlet “box” on the rear quarters, very Countach-like. As are the two little scoops under the front bumper.

There are still panels etc under the wrap hiding most of the final body.

    Below is just wrapped

Maybe it’s denial or cognitive dissonance because you’re not liking what you’re seeing, or the dazzle camo is throwing you off, but pretty much the whole car is exposed.

Here, for example, you have a clear view of the front lower fascia with splitters, left and right, the vertical vent forward of the front axle and the body side surfacing is fully evident and obviously as smooth as a final production panel… just like the in the pic of the SP-3 you posted:

LaFerrari replacement: v12, no hybrid, less power than SF90stradale?

The only areas that are hard to decipher—because the camo is draped across the openings and not confirming to the body—are the vent openings in the ‘frunk’ and the scoops in behind the cockpit side windows. Also, the headlights are partly covered, as is the expected black strip between headlights, and possibly 12c type blade signals— they’re wrapped. Even the wheels are visible in the latest pics posted by @Owen Edwards above.

Oh I know what I am looking at I just don't agree and logic also say Ferrari would not show the car like this at this stage if it was just wrap. It has more feel correct but there is a lot more you are not seeing or think your seeing. I already know the final design is not what most want/hope to see.

This is the final car being unveiled this year right? Apparently, a few sources say that 3 cars are being revealed. unless the 2 already unveiled are both 12 cilindri's.

I’m pretty sure I’m seeing the bulk of the final design except for some details still wrapped. And I’m sure there are no fake panels on any of these most recent pictures.

its a bit odd to me that they'd do this when we're a good 3 months out from its debut. Are they trying to go for the lap record now?

Unless they are after a lap record held by another Hyper car its point less. We want real world fast and record not private Test track.

i meant if they're gearing up for the fiorano lap record with this. I assume the camo may affect the actual performance?

    Agree,
I guess they need to test the car in real hot conditions for cooling checks.
Car is just wrapped right now.
