LaFerrari replacement: v12, no hybrid, less power than SF90stradale?

    Likely due to the fact that this car is not a replacement for an existing model—with customer orders still being filled—and so showing the car early (though still still camo’d to maintain the surprise element) only creates more hype and maybe helps sell the last few cars not already spoken for.

    Since, probably, most potential buyers have already seen the car and/or ordered one, there’s no point keeping it a secret. Or… sales are slow and they’re looking to generate some around the car. That and as noted by @jpalmito they need real world feedback on the car and its systems functioning without additional, suffocating body cladding and camo.

    Exactly. And it just looks nothing like a Corvette if you can see through the camouflage. Seems like huge aero on this car and as I mentioned a little earlier, a modern day F40 with the squared front arches over a sculpted door, large rear wing and vented rear screen/engine cover. Could be really great.

    the car itself looks nice, but the lack of centerlocks is dissapointing. Heard that they won't have them on the final car either.

    They could be optional. Centre locks, though exotic, are a pain. This reminded me of a friend who once had a flat on a trip in his 911, which had centre locks. He had to tow the car to the nearest city, stay at a hotel and wait for the next morning, as the 24-7 tyre shop didn't have the required wrench. That said, I too wish that the 250 has centre locks.

    I suppose one advantage is that itd be harder to steal the wheels on it. At the very least the final car will have 5 spokes at launch.

    Dont know if you are being sarcastic or not.
    But I remember one of the mules had a headrest cushion bolted to the carbon tub, strange they went with more conventional seats for the final product.

    Let’s stop the conjecture. customers allocated the car have not seen it, maybe a few saw a glance from a distance. Demand exceeds supply, I know people fighting to get a car who did not get one allocated in June.

    I’m not quite sure what is that supposed to mean. I am not American. And I always got irked in the past when people compared the newest Ferrari to a Corvette. When the C7 came out, I had numerous arguments with people, trying to explain that not only the Vette looks nothing like an F12, but those headlights were used by Ferrari long before the C7 came out.
    I don’t want the latest and greatest Ferrari special edition car to look anything like a Corvette. And I hope it doesn’t. It probably won’t. But on these pictures with the cammo there is undeniable resemblance to the C8.
    IMO Ferrari’s design took a dive ever since they stopped using Pininfarina, with a couple of exceptions. I truly understand that anyone who dropped half a million on a car would have their ego bruised if everyone is comparing it to a $70K Chevy. And I can only imagine what would be the feeling if it’s done to a $3M car that you had to fight to get allocated. Ferrari used to be the pinnacle of car design and to set trends. Yet in the past decade or so, they have lost their design identity, while bouncing around ideas and following the trends set by others. I definitely would not be able to afford the F250, but I would still hate for it to end up having C8z06 front grilles, Porsche tail lights, Lotus side intakes and those silly split Taycan headlights that Manzoni seems to be in love with.

    Do you think it can go over ~800kg of downforce as Mclaren Senna and Porsche 911 GT3 RS does or Ferrari is not going that way?

    The undercut and large rear wing suggest this will easily eclipse the senna in downforce while also being a simpler design

    Its has a Sf90 XX vibe. I would not hold your breath. Ferrari don't seem interested with bettering or setting new standard out in the wild anymore.

    Yes, the actual bodywork, also obviously painted red as the edges are not covered.

    Also visible is the piano black ‘ear’ scoops, sort of reminiscent of the scoops on the Countach. It even has the similar beveled leading edge.

    Beg to differ. Lap times are what matters. not a downforce number. Efficiency (downforce/drag ratio) is more important. The SF90 is already quicker than the Senna; this thing will be wild!
