Not surprised by this reaction and agree I need to see the car in person to make the right call on shields. Hoping it would "work" with painted but won't force the issue if it doesn't.

I was leaning towards painted myself, but had the same thought.... how will they look on this car.

I simply cannot imagine a scenario where I wouldn’t spec painted shields. Once you have had them, you want them on every Ferrari.

We got them on the 812SF but felt they were too large for the Pista

Same on my end, although I kind of wish my Pista had them from time to time. I’m just so fascinated by the artistry that goes into airbrushing those shields on, and the fact that they are quite rare and unique makes them even more special.

They are a little too big for most mid-engined cars, not enough room between the front wheel arch and the door. Love them to death on the right car, but look awkward on SF90, F8, 296 etc.

I’ve been impressed with some of the sound clips I’ve heard recently.

Is the rear facing camera on the roof part of the surround-view package, or does it come with the electric rear view mirrors? It seems many of you have that...

No painted shields are so much more classy on this car!

I agree. Getting painted shields on mine. Super excited to see it eventually in person at some point in 2025.

I have spec'd only one car in the silver/grey color range. That is my Pista with argentno nurburgring with 2 thin black stripes up the center. Black was my accent color. I have never used a grigio but am tempted to use the launch grigios of the 812 Competizione and 812 GTS. But they are too.......grigio. And I want silver. But they are great paints.

Arcobaleno Lucido is fantastic but I didn't like the prism-like color spectrum that would move around as you walked. It wasn't just the rainbow effect, it was how shadows and bright spots formed around the rainbow areas. I saw a TM Silver somewhere in Fchat. But don't remember where it is. Some people say it is Sanu Silver. But it had a different name. And was a TM color originally. But not sure what the name was or what thread it was on.

Switching topics, instead of buying all carbon for the exterior, I decided to have all of those dark exterior pieces painted instead of putting carbon on them or just leaving them in the factory, textured composite form. So I picked an option that exists that lets you paint them a glass black. This is perfect as I was to build a silver, gloss black car that will match the gloss of the front bumper's black piece and all the other black parts of the roof and back half of the car. I was told to expect something in the vicinity of 75% of the price of putting carbon on.

Also, maybe the spec will look like James Bond's 12C. He picked it and got rid of the DB5 for good. :)

I would argue aluminum lucido wins. It is insanely sparkly.

Just be mindful that from what I've seen, the front black bar seems to be in a metallic black, not gloss. Maybe nero daytona.

Stupid question: Does anybody have a picture of the option "Carbon Fire rear boot trim/CERB"?

Having played with the configurator at the dealer, I have to say Ferrari has really upped their paint and interior color options to a very high level. You can always go with one of the more traditional colors, but there are some really nice new options.

I changed my mind, withdrew deposit. Maybe when I see it I’ll have a change of heart but for now I think it’s going to be a pass for me.

I too have pulled my deposit, even after seeing the car in person. I just can't get on with the roof graphic, the car looks like it has a receding hairline and the black rear panel just looks awkward. The solutions would be either order to car in black or have those elements wrapped post delivery, neither of which are palatable to me at this end of expenditure.

My dealer has added the option FBWC to my configuration ("Front bumper insert in Carbon" ). Can anybody clarify what that actually is? From the pictures, it seems that the black plate between the headlights is in carbon, but I am not sure whether this is correct.
