New contender for single din carplay

So; bottom line is. If Sub out is not amplified, I can't connect it to subwoofer between seats directly, as it expects amplification inline BEFORE speaker.
However, the unit does not mention pre-out, it just says sub-out.

Did anyone connect it directly to subwoofers and see how it works? I guess I'll be the guinea pig.

So now I am stuck without an amp. Anyone can recommend a small mono amplifier that fits in that cradle to drive the subwoofers?

 

I don’t have the upgraded stereo in my car, but I do have a sub in my car. I use this amp. Works great. It’s so small I have it zip tied under the dash

Thanks, I pulled the trigger and bought it. It is small enough to fit there and probably powerful enough for what I need...

 

As I posted in my PowerAcoustik thread https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/my-power-acoustik-radio-journey.694830/ I started messing around with the top area of the display in the wallpaper and the scaling of the Ferrari logo. Except for a single rare edge case, I think it looks pretty good. Attached are all the assets for the 360, 360 Spider, 430 w/Bose, 430 wo/Bose, 430 Spider w/Bose, 430 Spider wo/Bose and the Scud.

Is this on wireless CarPlay? I'm not sure, but I think it uses 2.4ghz signal not 5ghz so there is a lot of things than can cause issues. Try it as wired.

 

i have not on mine. looks like its on car play..

 

Wirelessly it would break up and occasionally disconnect. With the cable those issues don't seem to be present anymore. I'd prefer it to be wireless, but considering how I was running my phone through an fm transmitter to a 2002 Alpine deck, I'm not going to complain.

Try moving your phone to the door pocket. I have found that wireless car play works better when the phone isn't directly near to the radio.

 

Just a bit of additional information about CarPlay. If you try to use wired CarPlay instead of the wireless, you will need to turn off the CP71's WiFi in the menu. Otherwise the cable only seems to charge the phone and it still uses the wireless.

 

I just did the update and loaded the small Ferrari logo ontop of the screen. How do I change the boot up logo?

Make sure you have the latest software to get the change “boot logo” option. If you don’t have android auto listed on the radio home page you need the update. There are instructions in this thread on how to run the update and prepare the usb key.

I have the latest software. I can change the wallpaper to the one you have with the Ferrari logo ontop. I don’t see anything for adding a file for boot up. I do see add logo. But when I go in it, I see that attached picture and it won’t let me change it. Image Unavailable, Please Login
