I am getting old, hence the question, what would be the most cost efficient solution to make 360 Spider with non-valved Tubi quieter? It really is embarrassingly loud in urban environment, in open road life is good with Tubi.

I have tried to search the solution but I only find information how to make 360 even louder...

Buy a used stock muffler and swap it.

I’m sure factory tail pipes with valves fit in to the tubi back box

Would it be possible to reuse Tubi outlet pipes with stock muffler?
Brand new OEM muffler wouldn't be too expensive. With used OEM muffler "the white dust" might hit too soon.

That would be another solution, there seems to be quite a few used valved outlet pipes for sale in Euro-zone.
Can anybody confirm this for sure?

The previous owner of my Modena fitted a Nouvalari system to mine and then realised it was too loud, so re-fitted the valved OEM tailpipes to it! Best of both worlds!

I have heard that oem tips will fit the tubi. I have not done it myself but plan to fit a pair this fall for the same reason as you mention in your post.

The car is just too loud at low rpm for me.

Depending on your timing I can let you know if they work.

Sounds like you want a valued exhaust.

I put the stock tail pipes back on my car to have valves. Too me the car was too loud inside to handle without them.

Great to hear I am not the only person who wants a slightly more tamed sound track.

As there seems to be rather healthy availability of second hand stock valved outlets with reasonable pricing I will start with that.

I cut the stock valves cut out of the stock tips and had them welded into the tubi tips, its perfect now.

(if you do this, be aware they are not perfectly a mirror image, one valve is in a slightly different spot than the other so place them just like stock)

I just installed Tubi headers and the Tubi sport exhaust with valves. It removes the big muffler in the engine bay and utilizes two mufflers down below right behind the exit ports in the bumper. It is suspended by a new bracket system with rubber isolators. Gets rid of the old bracket on the transmission. A win win!

I had a non valved Tubi. All the exhaust gasses go through the muffler. A valved exhaust simply bypasses the muffler when the valves open making it louder with better flow.
I can't possibly see how adding valves would make it quieter.

I contacted Tubi about this back in January. Their recommendation was to add the valved end tips (01239911020V).

I guess I can see if you put valves in 2 of the 4 pipes then when closed you've choked it down to just breathing through 2, so it would be quieter.

I tested by blocking the two outside pipes, where Tubi installs the valves. It was definitely quieter on a cold start…that’s where my neighbors get snippy at 6am when heading out to a cars and coffee. Still weighing the cost ($2500) versus the occasional apologetic bottle of wine .

I feel like my Tubi is too quiet at times. I have always been curious how loud is the stage 3 Capristo exhaust really? It’s hard to gauge the sound on a YouTube video but at my age, I think I would probably regret the switch.

Aahh, that above relates to my 430. My previous 360 is different as when valved it simply blocks 2 pipes rather than bypassing the muffler.

Early morning cold starts during the weekend and drive through the quiet neighbourhood with non-valved Tubi are not giving a "good neighbour" vibes, agreed.

I think, I start to experiment 250€ used valved OEM outlets.

    Thanks for the guidance!

As I don't have OEM tips I might actually look some 3rd party butterfly valve solution.
