Hi all, I tried doing a search on this but didn't find much. Does anyone know which of these connectors plugs into the bypass CAT ECU and which plugs into the passenger-side CAT ECU? My car is a USA 1999 F355. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The plug without the green seal is the RH Cat ECU if the colours are green (pin 1), black (pin 2), purple (with no stripe)(pin 3)... and the wiring is the same as earlier cars. I don't recognise the colours on the plug with the green seal. Are the colours green, red, light blue? Maybe there was a colour change for '99 cars.
The car will give you a warning light if you have them mixed up. If you want to know for sure, you can do continuity checks from the Motronic ECU to the thermocouple ECUs. Pin 3 of the bypass ECU is hooked up to socket 73 on the Motronic ECU connector. Pin 3 of the RH cat ECU is hooked up to socket 15 on the Motronic ECU connector. Image Unavailable, Please Login
