has anyone had a full system installed yet? something like the anti laser priority or the escort Z5? if so- any special considerations for the installer or issues that came up given the hybrid nature of the car?

Sorry that I can't help, but it still amazes me that these systems are legal in the US... In Europe they would seize your car.

We might not have free healthcare or the greatest education system but we do get SOME things correct.

The basic premise behind it is drivers are more likely to follow speed limits and drive more carefully. It makes sense when you think about it.

I cannot logically agree with the premise .

you do not need a device to obey laws

That exists only in a perfect world. Like no police, door locks or crime, etc..,

It does not prevent you speeding and data from around the world supports this hence the bans except in the US where they are based on personal freedom rather than accident statistics. Lower alcohol limits , random breath testing also lead to a lower road toll yet they are not in the US because of liberty issues

This ignores the German Autobahn which has major sections with no speed limits. Inattention and lack of driving skills is much worse than high speeds. As for the question (off subject) above about lack of health care, I spent 17 days in an Italian hospital and poor care almost killed me. It took 5 days to get a cat scan of my lungs and 7 days for a diagnosis of Legionnaire's Disease. In ICU, many nights there was nurse, the call wire was ripped and they had no replacement, no soap in the shower or a towel, many common drugs were out of stock...

Not going to get into it. I'd rather go count ants in my backyard.
