That feels like an ambitious estimate... Weren't these the same guys that had Alonso's Enzo last year at a huge estimate and it flopped?

Yes, although they reported the car sold post-auction for 5,400,000 EUR (which brought skepticism here). The worst part was they claimed it was the first Enzo built, based on having body #1.

FWIW 128778 is actually the 20th (twentieth) Enzo built (in chassis number sequence).
Although 128778 has body number 1 (one) there is another (earlier) Enzo as well that also has body number 1 (one): 128011.

Amazing, anytime somebody claims to have the first one, there is always an earlier one! At least this one (#20) is closer to reality than the Alonso car (#63) also claimed as the first. Plus it was the Paris show car.

It did not. I'm not sure what the high bid was. It's still on offer at the moment.

Looks like David MacNeil decided to sell. US-spec #133030, shown at Amelia 2023, coming to Broad Arrow Monterey 2024.

#131631 is back again with Mecum, let's see if it can shake off 2 no-sales from the last 12 months (Bonhams Quail, Mecum Glendale). Mecum did its part by deleting the more recent no-sale from the internet, as they tend to do.

... has sold on three times since those photos were taken.

Still, stunning car. Personally, I think Titanio might be my favorite color on the Enzo - shows more detail in the body than Nero, but not as 'washed out' as Argento.

I saw that coming, along with both Diablos and the 918. They were asking the moon for them.
