Over this summer I have been freshening up my Grandads 1995 F355 Berlinetta with the help of a experienced Porsche mechanic. About a month ago we put the motor back in from a service and all was well until recently. As I have been driving the ABS light has been coming on and off and whenever the light is on it is really rough to shift and the clutch feels a little softer. Usually the issues start once the car warms up it feels fine and the light is off when it is cold. We have spent about a week trying to figure this out and are completely lost if anyone has any advice to point us in the right direction that would be much appreciated.

I believe the circuit between brakes and clutch is shared. How is the brake fluid level? Are you sure everything was bleed properly? Sounds possibly air in the system.

The fluid level is perfectly and I am quite sure it was bled properly.

I'm sure this is a Teves system, correct ? To be clear this issue only happens when it's warmed?

The reservoir is shared but the clutch has a purely mechanical master cylinder, while the Teves brake master cylinder is hybrid mechanical/electric.

I have not personally heard of this combination of symptoms before.

Are you familiar with the test procedure for the Teves brake system? That should give you some fault codes. With the frunk liner removed, you will be able to inspect some of the plumbing for the system.

Find the cause for the ABS light. There is a procedure for testing the Teves system and reading the ABS error.

This may help with ABS but I'm not sure how to activate the diagnostic code read out as the pdf is for Jags.

We are pretty shure the system is losing pressure at times, we are thinking something might be wrong with the pump.

On cars with Teves ABS systems, low pressure and low fluid is also monitored by the Brake warning light system. You would expect low pressure to trigger the BRAKE (!) light, too. The pressure/level trigger point may be slightly lower however.
