Image Unavailable, Please Login Here is another view of the 1954 500 Mondial Scaglietti spyder. As the pic doesn't seem to belong to the set above, I wonder if it could not be 0462MD before it was repainted in Irish colours ?
I disagree on both! For me these are likely the ones prepared for Carrera Panamericana, but off course I too am only guessing.
Image Unavailable, Please Login I disagree too. The Carrera Panamericana Scaglietti spyders #3 (0464MD) and #14 (0470MD) had horizontal bar. The one above has an inclined bar exactly like 0468MD...

I would say the Scaglietti & C badge is mounted higher and the bar more inclined on 0468MD and the car at the factory but I let others decide !
Very difficult to estimate inclination as the side is convex and the basic form is also conical. If I add a red line to this a later photo of 0470/MD, the results matches the factory photo quite exactly. Therefore I would presume factory photos show 0470/MD but it is very difficult to be sure. I think the badge of 0468/MD was located even higher, as also shown by your pic (#30). Image Unavailable, Please Login

I think these two pictures of the same car show that if the chrome bar is on straight it will look straight no matter at what angle the photo was taken. Unfortunately I don't know the chassis number. Image Unavailable, Please Login
There is a night shot of #0470MD from the other side and it is an exact match for that factory photo. The chrome bar is mounted straight and the badge in the same exact position. They did add a mirror on the car at the PA. By the way, nice seeing all these wonderful Scag. spyders.
I knew I had posted it in the Pan Am thread. Still looking for a color photo of the black car #2 Carrera Panamericana Mexico | Page 6 | FerrariChat
Sorry, just making the point that if the bar looks sloping then it probably is, no matter what car it is attached to..
Image Unavailable, Please Login I have found another pic of the Scaglietti spyder in the botanical garden (see post #1610).
What color is the seat and headrest. The current color was a guess by the owner, who I sent photos I found to.
Yes, of course. I was joking ! No colour picture for 0428MD at Carrera Panamericana, neither at Nassau... Also looking for the "0428MD" serial number stamp. I don't understand why I can't find a picture somewhere !
The point I was trying to make is that this is 0050M- http://www.barchetta.cc/english/all.ferraris/detail/0050m.166mm.htm If you look at the 3rd pic, that is me readplays Actual standing in front of the car with the white golf shirt, light grey pants, and my hands in my pockets. I know and agree with the history you stated relative to 0328 and 0308 but I was in a rush this morning and didn’t check my work. What I’m trying to say is my link is the ‘real’ 0050M, Touring barchetta, so then what is the car is the scaglietti badge on in -@ursoenzo’s post that we are both alluding to? thank you as always for your contributions and knowledge, Kare. All my best, Dave
Image Unavailable, Please Login Hi Dave, A pic of our Scaglietti Spyder 0050M/ex-0308M with the early Scaglietti & C badge. You can see how much the look is close to 0454MD, especially the front... Some say this is a Dino Ferrari design but I'm not convinced. Who knows ?
