That's a fabulous image. We're you masturbating behind that 924? Don't see what's revisionist about quoting a Paul Frere book! As for the transaxle. There's no such thing as an Audi 100 transaxle. Let's ask Walter:
I'd love a 924 Carrera GTS. I would settle for a GT. And I'd buy a base 924 just to annoy Ian. I drove Winston's 924 Carrera GT years ago. I really liked it. Small, light, responsive. More than enough power.
Audi 100 has the engine hung ahead of the front axle, with the diff and gearbox behind. It's a 911 architecture rotated 180 degrees. VW took the diff and gearbox part and moved it to the rear of a 924, in a different casing. The gearbox is all Audi 100 and feels it. I cannot believe that you of all people are defending 924's... there's only one real Porsche and it's called 911. Next thing you'll be singing the praises of Boxsters
To be fair, they are probably the best of their type. Although the front tyres are known to have issues. Apparently. [emoji41]
The 3.0 930 production figures are significantly lower than the post 1978 3.3L cars. The car advertised was recommissioned by a marque expert. I performed a wheel alignment on that car some months ago. It's magnificent. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
And you'd put the original wheels back on, fit an original radio and refit the A/C compressor to differentiate it from all the other junk out there.
I’ll say, It looks lovely in the photographs Carl, it looks like new underneath [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
