Joined the Ferrari family with a 430 spider, followed by a 488 spider Wife went from Cali T to Roma to incoming TM Roma spider Never had a V12 in stable 488 traded for 812SF and tomorrow it arrives from Scottsdale Ferrari, a few issues had to be addressed during CPO which delayed delivery by a couple weeks This gave me time to watch every YouTube video and spend a few hours reading this section of FChat Have a stock set of wheels as part of deal and car is fitted with NOVITEC N9s Will source a set of winter for stock wheels to drive her into the early stages of Chicago winter and start up again in spring Anyone here trade in their 2019 TDF blue to Scottsdale Ferrari last month? It’s a very high spec car with every CF box ticked Will have a hard time sleeping tonight [emoji3] Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Congrats!! Looks mean! from Detroit here - I also do the same - have a second set of wheels for “winter”. A lot of people think I’m crazy - but we (like you) get so many cold but completely dry days. There’s no reason not to use this car. In two years of prior ownership, I had put ~20,000 miles on my Superfast. Now I’m in a GTS - got the winter wheels/tires put on the second week I had it
Enjoy the 812, it really is a fantastic machine. They are a bit different from the mid engine cars, but I feel like they are great compliments to each other. I drive my 812 year round in Seattle, swapping onto winter wheels around October, and summers around April/May.
Also a Detroiter, living in exile for past 30 yrs [emoji3]. (7 mi and Van Dyke) Just had a great weekend with the MI FCA chapter in Grand Rapids last weekend. Good people! 5 hours to arrival, pacing like an expected father Garage is prepped and ready for arrival Tomorrow it goes for full ppf then a proper welcome home party for the local crew on Sat (Super Car Alley driving group) Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Haha I am also a Detroiter, but moved to Chicago about 4 years ago! congrats on the cars, she's a beauty! I stepped into a V12 Lusso for my 1st car, the sound is addicting. I purchased an additional set of wheel and winter tires, and plan on driving it year round. Post lots of pics and enjoy it! Where are you getting the car wrapped with PPF?
PPF is being done by Underwrap near Division and Elston in city. He has done 5 cars for me and is best I have seen. Not a seam in sight all badges get removed top notch work at serious inexpensive prices 1/3 cheaper than anyone else I know of. Send me DM if you want more info Just back from first drive. Chicago traffic is pretty poor so did not get to have too much fun but the 45 min spend shifting through the gears was magical. The sound!!!! Wow, just wow! I was having slight remorse trading in the 488, that is gone After 30 mins, I started thinking I may need a GTS [emoji3] Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app

Beauty.....I bet you laugh and giggle driving in race mode with wide-open throttle. Nothing like a V12
Thats a beast! And yes - race mode gets addictive to the point where i found myself thinking 'well its not THAT wet' a lot
@OllyBarnes76 so true! Got to put a couple hundred miles on it his weekend, wow... its a heck of a car. Did not get to any twisty roads yet, that is a couple weeks away when we do the Ferrari Club annual meet at Road America. First impressions, so roomy inside compared to 488 and Roma, controls very similar to my 488. Power, like you are being pulled by the hand of god... not the visceral hit of a turbo instant on but, Wow we are going pretty fast now. Steady pull of power that is just smooth and somewhat sneaky. now over 100 mph, you know you are going fast. Interesting observation, the Roma has less drama and sense of speed over 100. I would have thought it would be the opposite. But, there is so much more theater in the 812, sound and the feel of the motor blasting away. Perhaps that is why the Roma does not let you know you are doing go to jail speeds. Looking forward to some backroad and track fun in a couple weeks!!
No issues, nothing to compare it to but on mean streets of Chicago have not felt any difference with bumps or pot holes. Highway I notice no difference from Roma or 488
Ha yes thats exactly my impression too - there's NEVER a moment where the 812 isnt constant theatre. By the same hand, there's also never a moment you can really relax driving it! Ive not used it in auto mode as, well, why would you. Can't wait to get back in mine once my driving ban is over (50 days to go lol!)
Congratulations - you pulled the trigger faster then me. I was looking at that car, the color & shields are awesome. I think Scottsdale Ferrari are one of the best Fcar dealers. Enjoy it!
