You have chosen a good one to go to. The array of cars and the total of early cars and their quality and rarity is very seldom equaled.

I do not have exact count but over 200 for display and around 130 being judged. Some of the who's who of collectors will have cars there.

A one off 375MM with fresh restoration was just voted best in class at Pebble will be there. Lots of race cars too.

    Bring a camera.

Anyone coming from NY area with a trailer/open slot? Alternatively anyone doing a road trip from the NE?

I'm legitimately excited. I haven't been to any of the annual events. So I'm sure that this will be truly mind blowing.

FChat gets the first leg up and notice, but I’m hosting a Ferrari Trivia Happy Hour on Tuesday, Sept. 10th at the Siebkens Resort’s main Restaurant (that I’ve rented).

This coincides with the public display of cars that evening encircling the Siebkens whereby we stage cars starting at 5PM, have dinner on our own, then remove cars around 8PM.

I can only accommodate roughly 80 attendees out of the ~450 registrants, so email me directly at [email protected] to RSVP.

More info in this video below that will be going out to registrants in a couple of weeks:

You should join in on the fun. One of the teams would be VERY lucky to have you with them…

With my other half being one of the primary people of the event I really cannot commit to anything. There is always somewhere we have to be. Sounds like fun though.

If Leslie makes it then I must stipulate that you can’t be on the same team… :p

Ringers are not allowed! Unless I have Robert (Admiral Goodwrench) on my team. :D

If the topics are vintage, I can think of a number of potential ringers that would be very well versed.

Even the FCA is getting expensive. Concours and Track day as spectator for 2 is $800.

It sucks I had to bail. I don't know if this will be repeated again in my lifetime. We're talking Ferraristock.

    Well, good news.

I’m about to make a separate thread, but I’ll offer it here first.

I have one FREE pass to the entire event (minus track time) to offer a fellow enthusiastic member here to use for this event where it is otherwise sold out and registration is CLOSED.

Message me directly, as this is only available for maybe a couple of days…

Every venue but the race tracks particularly are getting very expensive. The other issue with race tracks is and it is becoming SOP is fewer and fewer will guarantee a date. You sign up for a date, sign the contract and pay the money and if a race sanctioning body comes along 2 weeks before and wants to hold a race they have a stipulation that allows them to burn your contract. The fees many are charging are just crazy. Getting very difficult to do these events at any price. There is a growing sentiment to just stop doing them and go to a straight social event format. Costs may force it.

Another thing needs to be remembered here. As far as the value of the event sign ups started a few months ago. On the very first day some of the events were already sold out. Before the discounted sign up period was over hotel rooms were sold out, the track event and the concours was sold out.

Evidently the price was not a barrier.

Worth noting that the FCA Annual Meets are well rooted with true enthusiasts who are there to share a common passion. They are NOT “lifestyle” events to see and be seen or vomit posts onto a YouTube channel.

In other words, super down to Earth. Which, to me, is quite refreshing and a nice alternative experience of its own.

I have told this story many times. I was at one of the events and was on my own for one of the dinners. I was wandering around looking for a seat for dinner and found one next to some guy I didn't know. Boy was he into cars, all kinds of cars. Ferrari, muscle cars, custom hot rods....just like me. We had a great evening and became great friends. A few years later we were together and someone said do you know who that is? Yea, thats Bob. Turned out he was CFO and one of the founders of one of the countries really famous hi tech companies. I had no idea, we were just a couple of car guys.

good story. Back in 2000 at the FCA event at the Broadmoor, my wife and I were sitting outside late one night and this group of three asked to join us. Greg and Jon talked cars while Jon’s wife Mary chatted with my wife. Didn’t realize who they were until Greg mentioned the transmission of his 250 LM was still sitting on his kitchen table…

I talked to TF last night. He told. me he wasn’t coming.

I woke this morning and realized both me an TF are getting on in our years. If I am coming to the Annual TF should to. Everybody reading this thread should yell at TF and tell him to bring his ass to Elkhart. Neither he or I will ever be able to do this event again. I need the FChatters HELP!!!
