355 The Custom Subwoofer Box Thread

I’ll be selling my system as soon as I can pull it off fwiw.

 

It’s decent looking, but I never really got a chance to hear it. Couldn’t figure out the radio. All installed by previous owner.

Leather color match here is actually pretty good. I can see the grain difference, but this is pretty good overall.

 

No one has tried it as far as I can tell. I’ll have to search the model.

If this doesn’t fit under the seat, nothing will. It also wouldn’t look too shabby behind the seat either.

Here’s my attempt at audio when I first purchased the car over a decade ago.

Headunit is a Carrozzeria (Pioneer in U.S) DEH-P01, which comes with a mini amp (can now be purchased separately). There is a Pioneer head unit equivalent, but it didn’t come with a mini amp at the time. I wanted a small discreet amp I could hide. It could probably hide inside passenger footwell to be honest. However, don’t buy the Carrozzeria headunit (if you’re interested) as you can’t play U.S radio (learned that later.) But I knew I could hook it up to my phone. This is one of the highest quality head units you can get.

I believe my tweeters and speakers were upgraded to Alpine brand. I could be wrong (on the brand). It’s been a minute.

As mentioned in my first post, sound wasn’t all that great even with everything upgraded. I decided to custom make a quickie subwoofer box with 2 small subs just to experiment. Sound was fantastic! Clear, clean, and crisp… not ghetto. EXACTLY what I wanted.

Those trying to build a system with crazy amps, speakers, subs are over-doing it imho. Completely unnecessary. This isn’t a lowrider .

If the Carrozzeria slim under seat sub works, it would be a godsend. No need to spend $5-7k on custom audio (and look ridiculous) imo.

I’m also going to assume the Carrozzeria sub is actually better than the ones I was experimenting with. Nice to have everything work under the same brand.

Just in case some might he confused, I have 2 355s. The first, I put in a system. The second came with a system.

I’m all about stealth, so although the sub from my second car looks decent compared to what I’ve seen, it’s still not for me.
