Hi, partial results list GP Pergusa has Biondetti / 4th Bordonaro / 6th Minzoni / 7th best wishes, BjörnS Image Unavailable, Please Login
If I am not mistaken, these are the qualifying results ("tempi delle prove") translating into grid positions. About 9 minutes is the time of a single lap.
Yes, sure : « i miglori tempi delle prove e l’ordine di partenza di domani » = best time in qualification giving the starting grid.
Good catch. It’s true Pasquale Placido often raced 0044M but difficult to say for this specific race without a pic.
Hi and sorry, yes I mixed the qualifying results. Thanks for clarification. Cyril was right with the race results: Bordonaro / 5th Minzoni / 7th Biondetti / 9th Best wishes, BjörnS
The same day as Pergusa, at the Col de la Faucille hillclimb (in France at the Swiss border), Attilio Buffa ran a mysterious (to me at least) Ferrari 2500cc. He competed again, presumably with the same car, at the Bologna-Raticosa and the Sassi-Superga in the autumn, before switching to the various Maseratis he is better known for. Any ideas ?
Image Unavailable, Please Login This pic is supposed to show the winner of the 1954 Sassi-Superga : Gigi Rapetto on his Nardi Danese 750. In the background, we can see a Touring Berlinetta which makes me think to 0141T. Could be the Attilio Buffa's Ferrari 2500 ?
Impressive ! Thank you to both of you. PS : Rapetto "only" won the Sport 750 class, the overall winner was Ammendola with a 250 MM
know the place. date and result. please mith, D. Piper and 0854 i suppose. Thank connaissez vous le lieu, la date et le résultat de cette photo, avec D. Piper, et 0854 (je suppose) merci Image Unavailable, Please Login
At first I would have guessed 1968 Africa (South Africa, Zimbabwe/Rhodesia), but we have two problems. Minor problem is I think 0854 would have been green. Major problem is we need a time machine to place that Mk I Volkswagen Golf (built 1974-) in the photograph. Therefore, I am guessing this is 70's/80's during Bamford's ownership... if that's possible.
