Dan says it best ... do not be too concerned (not to say do not ignore) the dash icon. This happened with my 458 and happens with my 488. Today it was 33 °F when I took the horse out for a romp and the dashboard light came on. Stopped to get gasoline and upon re-start, no light.
I've had this appear a few times. I had the car at Norwood's for service a few weeks ago and asked about it. They said to really push hard on the start button and don't let go until it starts. Continued to say if your not pushing hard enough the connection may be broken for a millisecond which makes the BCM think something is wrong elsewhere in the electrical system.
Same message has happened on my 13 458 Spider. Turn off and restart when this does show, and it goes away. Has only happened 3-4 times. Getting some service in a few weeks and will have battery checked. When sitting on charger for a week, and when I start, seems low on juice. Current battery is only two years old.
Sorry to bring this thread back from the past, but I’m having this error and the dealer hasn’t been able to figure out the problem. Did anyone resolve this? Tried a new battery.
I get it once in a while as well if i don't drive the car for a few days but goes away on restart (even with a new battery) No one in this thread has cared to update as to a fix including yourself i see lol
My error was caused by a faulty steering sensor. I can pull the service notes. Got fixed over a year ago and hasn’t come back.
