Just heard Max interview where he said the team will NOW get to work to develop car. Could it be they gave up development on the ‘24 car to gain a lead on ‘25 car thinking they had a big enough advantage?

If, on the other hand, it is the Newey effect then the team that wins the Newey lottery will certainly be advantaged by getting him.

Its an 8 point split and RedBull retained Perez LOL. Its over unless Mclaren melts down. The thought of more money being poured into any significant upgrades at MaxBull is diminishing by the minute. They have to create a 2025 car and then live with it due to the new regs. Yes I know fully you know this lol :) They declined a few races too early. Now the bad news is per race and before the summer. Max will certainly take Jos' counsel on the mess at RedBull and if Mercedes show up with a good engine as development continues I can see him leaving and announcing it by Spa next summer. How long will Max 'sink' with a sunken Horner............not long.

He is on the top of the world as a WDC, is young and marketable and still in prime. Horner is fast becoming a lead weight at RedBull. He sounds like a fool and is in fact a fool since his fingers led to a major malfunction publicly with an employee. Anything he says now is a suspect. His credibility declines with each loss and pathetic interview. New blood at RedBull? Why not.........he's been there too long as it is. Marko is a dunce needing a retirement home in Wörthersee lol.

Dieter would have fired Horner. In fact the CEO of RedBull GmbH, was going to fire Horner Feb 4th 2024 then was stopped after Horner hired counsel and the corrupt Thai clan backed Horner from what was published about the scandal early on. The pictures of Horner early in this in the press showed a very pale and worried person. Not a confident, outspoken leader. Wonder why. His life at home was a wreck. He lacks class. Jos has his number lol!! The last week was brutal with Jos in the Dutch press. Why not, a shark smells blood and Max and Jos are literally a team. They cannot downplay this beating today.

Correction as posted by JG -its 8 points now for Mclaren to lead the WCC. They will after Baku. Thats not looking like a RedBull race at all given Monza is a nice precursor to Baku!

Yes, Ferrari shouldn't get too euphoric about their Monza success. They took a gamble with a one stop, that worked.
Well done for sure, but it wasn't due to their car being best.

Tire management on Leclerc's side as well as he kept that "lap time" consistent.

Proof that the fastest car(Piastri) doesn't always win the race.

Leclerc managed it very well and kept the lap times consistent AND help from the weather.

Yes, well done Ferrari for a bold tyre strategy that paid off today.

One stop strategy is available at every GP, but rarely works, and often provokes an unscheduled pitstop towards the end.

Today it did work for Leclerc, and the tifosi are ecstatic but Ferrari cannot rely on that to be successful everywhere ...

Oh, the Italian papers are going to be in an Ferrari winn-gasm at Monza....as expected.

Then they will be back to normal at bashing Ferrari as usual. "The mob is fickle."

I believe the tifosi are ecstatic for the win at Monza since it's a home race.

As do the monagasque's for Leclerc winning there.

As well as the British for Hamilton winning at Silverstone.

Mclaren has the fastest car and they are certainly not winning everywhere.

So that notion that "Ferrari cannot rely on that to be successful everywhere" applies to the examples I just gave.l no?

Well if their new floor allows them to be a lot closer in qualy while being very good on tyre management during races, then it could really be a game changer for the season’s end.
We just have to wait next races to check this hypothesis.

FINALLY Ferrari won a race on strategy.

That's as close as you'll see an Italian winning the Italian GP in an Italian car

I'll be honest I thought Norris would win start to finish.
