355 1996 spider Bosch or ate ABS

I have a US 1996 LHD spider, will this have a Bosch or ATE abs system, if its not year specific how can I tell?

The Bosch system has a vaccuum pump on the back of the left side of the engine.

The changeover was sometime after the changeover to Motronic 5.2.

1996 should be 2.7 with Teves/ATE

 

Mine is a 5.2.

My '96 5.2 is Teves.

 

I guess the switch to 5.2 must have been late 96. The wiring diagrams don't mention the 5.2 until 1997.

 

My google "when was the 355 teves abs changed to bosch":

"From 1997 onwards, Ferrari changed to Bosch ABS that didn't have an on/off switch." (Remembering the Ferrari F355, the Prancing Horse’s First Modern-Day V8 Supercar - autoevolution).

I do not know if this is correct.

 

My 1996 355 had Teves ABS. A buddy's 1997 has Bosch ABS. The way to easily tell is the picture that Ian posted above.

 

And to show it's clear as mud my 97 spider is Teves. It probably happened in 97 when they ran out of Teves they converted.
