Nice! Doing mine right now with that exact same center console Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Love it!!! The carbon shift knob with the red stripe fits the CS perfectly! (I don’t have a car yet, but I bought that knob and shift plate hoping to have a use for it some day!)
The carbon knob is that OEM? If so you have the part number? Looking for my CS Spider build, I consider use that, or maybe better stick to OEM steel?
It’s a cool project, but I personally think the CS is better matched with the F1 system. Just goes better with the car.
Buttons fitted and mounted and now the center console test fit. Very pleased. Image Unavailable, Please Login
CS f1 is horrendous and undriveable after u drive a gated one. The gated CS is utopia. Truly an amazing driving experience.
Which do u like better, gated cs vs gated scud? I have a gated f430 coupe, but always thought a gated cs would be the dream, light, raw, bare bones, with a higher pitched scream. I never drove a 360, let alone a cs, don’t know if I would miss the torque/power from the 430. Don’t have the budget/room to keep adding cars, would have to make a swap
depends on the day - if you want predictability, the CS...if you want sheer roller coaster omg fun - the scud. Pete at Universal just serviced my Scud and he had it for a week. Feel free to ask him about which one is better. Comfort and usability wise, i always go for my gated 430.
While I respect your opinion, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the CS F1. It drives just fine. It needs skill and a fine touch. Any rough edges add to the character of the car and the era it came from.
Looks great. Who manufactured the center tunnel for you? It is the best looking of the conversions I have seen and the one I would go with if one day I decided to convert my CS.
I actually do agree with this. I liked it a lot. LOVED it when it worked in fact. I just don't like the complexity of it though and it actually really stresses me out for some reason. Can't explain, but it's just me. I also enjoy a good manual car. Ripping it out for those reasons. Simplicity and I like a manual car. Keeping all the original parts in a bin though so they are still around.
Why exactly is the CS F1 horrendous and undriveable? Can you elaborate on this in quantifiable or at least objectively verifiable terms?
I have to say, in my head a manual F430 has been my goal for many years, but after seeing the pictures of your CS with the manual conversion going in, I might have to rethink. Always loved the CS (my first ride in a Ferrari was back in 2004 in a brand new CS, it was incredible and I came to realize just how special it was later on) and putting a manual in it just might be the absolute best car you can possibly drive. Following along and can’t wait to hear how it is when it’s all done.
If a human drove (outside of full wot shifts at redline) the way the f1 behaves. you wld take the keys back immediately. It’s ridiculously bad/nauseating. And good luck backing up in reverse, god forbid.
Nothing of your claim here is quantifiable or objectively verifiable. It seems as if you are trying to pass off your personal taste as an universal truth that applies to everyone.
