Only 148 right hand drive model 3lt turbo produced worldwide (75-77). Hard to calculate the attrition rate, was thinking maybe quarter to one third not around anymore in 2024.
I drove one of these when new back to back with a 5.8l manual XD Falcon. I thought the porker was trying too hard and preferred the Falcon which had a much nicer gear change.
Drove a couple of hundred Ks in a 1982 version yesterday (helping a friend relocate cars) - they are lovely little things, although the throttle position and action is very peculiar for someone used to Italian 'heavy clutch, light throttle'. Wonder if the "Qld specialist" was Don Munroe - apparently he is 'the' guy.
