Give R2 in Castaic a call. Ask for Rafi, he’s the owner. He was a factory mechanic before he got his own shop.

I know Dan at Normal Guy Supercar advertises $20K all-in plus shipping with a 2 week turn around. Not sure if you will find it cheaper than that.

Sorry, yeah. The 20k is if the clutch and TO bearing are not being replaced and the trans does not need to come out. The kit is about $13.5k, so $6.5k for the install is a pretty good deal IMO. Also, if you are getting a clutch and bearing, add several thousand to the parts list.

When I was looking several months ago (maybe close to a year ago), Mark Douglas Motorworks in OC quoted me 24k for the transmission out version, and I think GP Autoworks in SD quoted the same. I never looked in LA, but maybe you can try Fast Cars and see what they'd quote you. I think Randy at RMT in Yorba Linda may do it too, but not sure if he's done one before (though I'd 100% trust him).

Well, if you're interested in sending up to the bay, Trackspec Autosports did my conversion and their rates are very reasonable.
