freight certainly did so I'm assuming at least a portion of each team went straight there most of the drivers managed to find their way to Goodwood or Monaco, though.....
Absolutely no pace for our boys. Porsche will win this year both drivers and constructors championships. How the hell a ldmh could win against hypercar ! Well done FIA ..
As much as I dislike a LMDh winning the championship, they deserve it. Of course the Hypercars had been constantly torpedoed by the BOP, but they had made too many avoidable errors, specially the Toyota drivers.
True, Also our lost wins in Imola and Spa were just too much in the end when you are a serious championship contender..
they seem to have more qualy pace last year than this year but race pace (other than Le Mans) seems to have been lacking both years not sure if that's just BoP or they're not as good as the others. certainly they've figured out lots of ways to take themselves out of contention
The deal for Ferrari was that the ACO ( the WEC rights holder) would give them a favourable BoP for Le Mans for 2 years. It was important for the ACO to attract the public with a successful Ferrari return, and they managed that. In the other races, Ferrari didn't have preferential treatment. In 2023, they won nothing else than Le Mans, but Austin this year. In the past the ACO did the same deal with FORD for their GT, and it also won the category twice, with a 4-car team from Ganassi ! Same, it was for a FORD return at Le Mans, the star endurance race. I think in future Ferrari will be on its own.
It so easy for them to throw a track limit or a pit lane penalty if needed. If I remember correctly, in 2016, a Risi Ferrari was leading one hour from the end, in front of 3 Ganassi FORD GTst !! The ACO simply found a fault and imposed a time penalty to the Ferrari team to respect the script, allowing FORD to win the GT category. You just couldn't make it up !!!

Yes I sat all night in the woods along the Mulsanne straight in camouflage gear until I could throw that fake squirrel under the wheels of that evil Toyoter Yep really true;-)
Ferrari should have won Imola and Spa this year on their own without bad strategic calls and lack of luck, what are you talking about ?
The squirel episode was just an unplanned incident that slowed down Toyota. It still remains that the ACO favoured Ferrari with the BoP and wanted it to win the year of their return. Prior to the race, they made a big hype of it to attract the crowd. It worked ! I explained with the FORD GT comment, that the ACO is quite happy to manipulate the race at Le Mans to fit their scenario.
I wouldn't see the interest of the ACO "helping" Porsche always present in endurance series. But a Ferrari come back at Le Mans after 5 decades, that's an event worth orchestrating. Just like it was for the FORD return.
