Yes, the lifting mechanism fixed all my clearance issues. My issue now is drainage. I have 4 foot burms on each side of the driveway since the slope was added. So, I need a lot of retaining walls etc etc. When it storms, I end up with a mud slide down the driveway.
It all works out in the end. The front needed some landscaping love and my Koi Fish will appreciate the update.
If you want to move to florida, just do it. No need to shape your driveway like that.... and you misplaced lake Okeechobee. A little higher and to the right. Thanks, I'll be here all week.
My driveway issue isn't anywhere as Complex as Eric's, but I spent too much time trying to find a solution that was not permanent and expensive and reproducible and wanted to share it with you guys in case anyone might be having a similar issue. No matter which way I tackled my driveway (and yes I have a lifter...which obviously makes it worse in this scenario) I was lucky to spare scrapping my rear Carbon diffuser with about 1/4-1/2 to spare. I was looking for a solution where I wouldn't have to worry about backing out and entering my driveway every time and just clearing it within 1/4 inch or worse scrapping it. These picture's don't do it justice and it's not at the lowest point, but I have to have my lifter up to clear the front end of my driveway which has a slope and than immediately have to drop it to clear this "V" ditch as I am backing out. I tried numerous "curb" ramps and none of them worked. I tried these heavy duty "wheel chair" ramps that are rated to 2200lbs++ and they are more than adequate to handle the load of my F8. I tried several sizes and came up with the right ratio of a 2x16 inch ramp on the house side and 2.5x16 inch ramp on the street side; it now gives me about 2.5 inches of clearance and it doesn't matter which angle I come in at. It takes me couple minutes to put them out and I remove them when I park the car back in the garage. These are very inexpensive and available on Amazon and gives you a nice peace of mind not worrying about the car when you haven't even left your driveway. Cheers!
