Yes better sound and more sound would be welcomed. So far the Novitec seems to be the one to go with "for now". I'm sure there will be more to choose from as the days go by.

I have the Novitec race exhaust (no valves or GPF's) on my '21 F8. I left the OEM cats but it's basically just straight pipes after that, no muffler. I had it all installed when the car was new (with the Tectronic plug-in). 3.5 years and 9,000km later, I've never had a CEL or issue of any kind. The car sounds amazing. Very high pitch exotic sound. I'm sure it would be even better with the cats done but it's already very loud when driving in the city. I live downtown Toronto so let me know if you want to hear it live sometime.

Actually not a bad video for sound. I', listening on some powered JBL studio monitors. I can imagine how good this sounds in person too.

Thanks man, and that is obviously going very easy on the throttle. When you're ON IT, it absolutely screams.

The piggyback tune That Novitec offers is the "N-Tronic," not to confused with the "Techtronic" dongle, which is simply to eliminate any Exhaust related CEL. These are two separate components.

Yep N-Tronic is a ECU tune, providing more power as well as tuning for catless exhaust and no GPF for F8 with the Novitec exhaust.

A horrible choice. It's a piggy back that you have splice into the existing wiring harness.

Yes ...I never said good choice. LOL. Definitely not something I am doing with my F8. I'd never cut and splice into my wiring harness...ever!!!

Yeah. I've done it on a few back in the day but would never do it with these cars. No point and just asking for trouble.

The N-tronic is not required for any of the Novitec exhaust options. That is simply for power. The Techtronic is the fix for any errors/ codes that arise from the exhaust components.

Exactly. I just plugged in the Tectronic module - no need for a tune and I've never had a CEL even with the valves & GPF's removed. Car runs exactly like stock, just louder :)

Interesting…. Yours is the first I’ve heard being this good, stable and mechanically sound … you ‘almost’ got me believing you. And it’s tempting me.

Maybe Techtronic works to only remove CEL but I have heard good and bad about this. Removing the GPF and muffler will allow more flow which needs a ECU adjustment for proper air/fuel ratio.

I wish Ferrari would work with Novitec or someone to approve a plug and play like Techtronic and a more open exhaust with no GPF. Keep the cats stock is OK for me....the F8 just needs to sound better to represent what a Ferrari sounds like.

yeah, that doo hickie doesn't stop the 02's from getting a rich/lean reading thus triggering the ecu to compensate....

a tune is only way to do it right.

I think I read a couple of years ago that the 2020/2021 cars had no issues with the Novitec Tectronic but 2022/2023 cars had some CEL issues. My car is a 2021 so maybe that's why I've had no problems.

I blame Klaus Schwab for all of this. You will have no sound and be happy.

Has your view changed now that a lot more companies are in the game for the F8? Also curious what heat issues and electronics failing issues you have found. I am not a Ferrari or F8 expert by any means but I did just buy an F8 and want to change the exhaust sound. In my 30yrs of modifying cars of all makes, I always do exhaust and I actually find uncorking some of the European particulate filters and stuff that is not even required here in the US actually reduces heat issues. Not sure I’ve ever heard of a cat back actually causing any damage to any part of the car. But I am genuinely asking so I can learn if this is true. Thank you.

Hunter911 - You and I have a lot in common. I just bought a F8 Tributo and currently have a 992 GT3 Touring. Just instead of Black - they are Grigio Titanio and GT Siver. Your car sounds awesome. Is that with fully stock / OEM cats still in place? And where is best place to buy the Novitec stuff?

In a lot of the videos I’ve watched, I thought Gintani or Ryft sounded best on F8 but on your video I love the way that Novitec sounds. Thanks for sharing.

I think I found out the answer that you are running fully stock / OEM cats and just have the valveless Novitec race exhaust. That is the one I would like to do as well. I don’t need the car to be quiet really ever as long as the valveless system does not drone on highway or do anything else that you might want to control with valves?

And lastly, did you go for the stainless steel version or the Inconel? I understand they have slightly different tones, at least in the GT3 world they seem to have different tones so it’s not just about price and one is better than the other. Thanks man!
