I saw the car in person at my dealer as I also had the reservations about its rear end. I don’t mind the black panels so much but that bubble on the coupe concerned me. It definitely looks better in person, but I am still not 100% sold on it even though I do have one on order. I would prefer the spider version, but that allocation was not available. I also would love to get a test drive review and drive it myself before feeling 100% happy with my decision.

Any idea when will the video test drives and reviews be out?

I have to agree. This is a bizarre livery that I never would have thought of myself, but saints alive, it somehow makes the car look better. Stupefying.

I also saw the cars at Challenge at Indy this past weekend. They most definitely look better in person than in pictures. For me, it is still a love-hate relationship. The spider is definitely the better looking car, but will also be much more difficult to attain. I am on a wait list, but if I can’t get a spider, I will keep my F12 and have extra maintenance money.

September 26, allegedly - I saw that date on IG though, so take it with a grain of salt.

Since the presentation of the 12 C, Ferrari and particularly Flavio Manzoni have subjected us to a process of stylistic re-education so that we learn what a V12 GT of the future is like. They spared nothing in this effort, super elaborate written and verbal descriptions of the exterior design using erudite language and also images with views from high angles, Super Photoshoped, where you can see the delta wing detail, the cabin glass roof and the top of the bonnet, views that in the real world rarely anyone will be able to see.

In contrast to this apparent illusionism and written and verbal rhetoric, we have dozens of images of the 12 C coupé taken with iPhones, many of those made by the ones who have already seen the car in person. What can be said is that the difference between the Ferrari image and the iphone pictures is abysmal. There are those who argue that cell phone pictures distort reality but the same can be said about Ferrari’s images. However, something that is immediately noticeable in the pictures of the rear of the 12C coupé taken with iPhones is that the angles are those we normally use when looking at a car and therefore have nothing to do with the studied high angles used in Ferrari’s images.
It is precisely because of these contradictions that it is imperative to see the 12 C coupé in person in order to gauge with our own eyes how close or far its design is from what the Ferrari images present.

As I haven't had the opportunity to see the 12 C coupé in person yet, but I hope to do it soon, this prevents me from giving a final opinion about its lines and design. However, from what I've seen so far in many pictures and heard in conversations I've had with several people who have seen the car in person, to me its design as an all continues looking in-cohesive. IMO the 12 C coupé is a car whose profile is appealing and which has a front that one may like more or less but which denotes personality. On the other hand, I view the futuristic rear part of the car as a failed design exercise without any correlation whatsoever with Ferrari’s DNA.

As from the 26th of September the many drive tests of the 12 C already carried out by the press will start appearing, I look forward learning on what the car is like in terms of the driving experience. I sincerely hope that it won't be inferior to the 812 SF.

Does this imply that you think the official images flatter the car? I find the official images the least flattering. I'm not a fan of the design, but the proportions look considerably better to me in photographs. And I can imagine they'll look better still in person.

My issues with the design are much more about the details, and in particular, the black graphics. To me, they dominate the design in nearly every image I've seen, official or otherwise.

I agree, the car in person should look better but even so, regarding the rear part, I have low expectations.
Without the black parts, the 12 C coupé looks quite different as seen in these renderings of a Carabinieri version.

English plate and steering wheel on the left. Could be a new force named Anglo-Italian Carabinieri.

I wonder which material is utilized for the red inserts on these 12 Cilindri seats plus the lower dash area? Sorry for the small image...
Matching Red carpets would be a novel addition to.

Indeed. I pulled my deposit on the basis that I don't like the black roof and rear deck.

Yes there were multiple cars in the same color on the factory line for the factory tour open to the Ferrari employees and family. Makes the job for the Ferrari press office easier than when everyone would fight over the keys to the 'red' car...:D

I agree. It almost looks like a different car on the standard 5 spokes. Now imagine the 12C on some tasteful aftermarket rims and slightly lowered….

This video has just been released with a yellow 12 C with the standard 5 spokes. The car looks much better with these wheels.:)

This has always been Ferrari's issue, almost all of them are slightly too high and the wheels are too tucked in. Lambo and Porsche seem to have solved this issue, but most of the time they're a harsher ride than their F counterpart so I use that as the justification.
