Hello, The air conditioner of my 458 Italia is working well, but I want to ask something. Especially in hot weather, in stop-and-go traffic, I noticed that an extra fan noise comes on and off very frequently when the air conditioner is on. For example, in traffic, I hear a clicking sound and then the fan turning on, and then it stops, and after a short time it turns on again, and I noticed that this keeps repeating. When I asked the Ferrari mechanic, he said that this is the operating system and that the second fan comes on and off after a certain temperature and that this is normal. I wonder if anyone has knowledge or experience on this subject and your opinions.
Air Conditioner condenser is in front of the left radiator and emits a lot of heat when AC is running esp on a hot day.. The fan is cooling it and the radiator based on thermostatically detected heat level. It cycles on-off according to heat level and cooling demands. It's simply doing what it is designed to do. If it were not normal you would be having overheating problems. No worries here.
Thanks for your answer, I know it's like that too, but even though I've been using the car for a while, I've never felt it open and close constantly in traffic before, so I wanted to ask. Thank you.
